My wife and I enrolled our puppy in the 6-week Master Program board-and-train at Unleashed K9 in Maple Grove, and overall, the experience was very positive and well worth the investment. We saw clear improvement in our dog’s obedience, redirection, and overall responsiveness. The training foundation they built is evident. Because we chose the longer program, the regular report cards were a nice touch and helped us stay connected throughout the process. Ken was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the program and remained available even after our dog came home. The go-home session was thorough and highlighted how well trained our dog is and what’s expected of us going forward. Keeping up with the training at home has been more challenging than I anticipated, which speaks of how much work Unleashed put into our dog. The training is there, but it requires consistency on our end. I will even return for additional guidance to make sure I’m implementing everything correctly. One unexpected highlight was discovering our dog’s aptitude for detection work. It’s been a great source of mental stimulation, and I’ve really enjoyed practicing it at home. Within the first week back, I had successful scent finds using birch odor. Overall, we’re very happy with the experience, communication, depth of training, and ongoing support Unleashed K9 offers. I have been taking my German Shepherd, Aria, to Unleashed K9 for onsite training for IGP/protection sports. Kenneth and the whole team are very knowledgeable, friendly, and great at explaining concepts. With just a few sessions I have already seen a huge improvement in Aria’s control and focus, and know what we need to work on in the future. I would highly recommend Unleashed K9 to anyone interested in dog sports, detection work, or having a very well-behaved pet.
