Mariano, Lincoln and the entire staff are incredible! We did a board and train for our rescue dog who has anxiety and fear based aggression. Throughout the entire experience they have been patient and explained every step of the process while arming us with the tools to help our dog. I love being able to board him there because going out of town used to be a stressful experience not knowing how he would do, but I love knowing he is safe and cared for with them. He also does not like going to new places and usually is stressed however whenever we bring him there he is happy and is always excited when we go. Before coming here we had worked with another trainer but still struggled with walking and crate training. He walks nicely on his leash (not a perfect heel but he’s pretty close) and sleeps/eats in his crate which in itself is a miracle. Truly they have been a game changer and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. We plan to bring our other dogs for training as well and continuing training. If you’re considering a professional trainer for your dog - I can’t recommend unTAMED enough!

Ares was my service dog for almost two years, since 2020. I swore up and down I studied, I was ready for this dog. I knew I’d need a dog capable of working an 8 hour shift, and still being attentive after. I got a Dutch shepherd, not looking into the breed more than their social abilities, work drive, and handler bonds. We had a good run, he was a bit energetic but I handled him. Then came the first dog that lunged at him while working in 2021, where we’d have multiple instances of a dog lunging at him. I knew he was done when he snapped at a puppy and from there came separation anxiety, dog “aggression”, constant snapping, I felt unsafe having him around anyone he didn’t know, and pushing me to the point I wanted to get rid of him. Mariano and his team were so quick to answer, had the most reasonable prices so we saved up and made it happen. From the eval I could tell Mariano was full of enthusiasm for what he does and genuinely cares about the end game of our dog. Within 3 sessions we learned how why’s to his behaviors, and really got into the depth of what he REALLY needs. We went from 2-2 1/2 hours of running and training and drilling and more training to maybe 45 minutes and he’ll sleep the rest of the day. We went from and insecure dog that couldn’t trust his handler to protect him so he protected himself, to a dog that looks to you to see what YOU want. All because WE got trained the right way. Mariano gave us not only a goal, but a real possibility of independence again. He doesn’t use anything I wouldn’t use on myself, he isn’t scared of a big dog with teeth and “aggression”, he’s built up my dog to manageable, lovable family member. If you’re struggling or at the end of your wits or even just want to learn how to teach your pup something new, 100% recommend. The evaluations are free so it won’t hurt, and you’ll see just how much understanding your k-9 could change your life. Thank you to Mariano for helping us really love our dog again.

Untamed has made the difference in our successful Service Dog training! At about 6 months in we needed to have our SD puppy boarded but were also at standstill with training. The two weeks at UnTamed turned things around, our family learned how to work more effectively and the dog was so much better at trainjng with us. We have used them a few more times and also took advantage of some follow up visits at home. Our dog loves working with the staff and is so excited to see them. You can tell that the owner really knows and understands dogs and training methods and all staff clearly love the animals.

Brought our pup Isaac to Mariano and did private lessons and are extremely happy with the results. Isaac is our first dog, and he was generally a good boy, but tended to be a bit anxious and reactive when he passed other dogs on the trail near our house -- so much so that my husband questioned ever walking him again. So at that point we knew we needed to find a trainer that was not only effective, but would care for our concerns and our dog. Now let's get to how Untamed, and Mariano helped us. Mariano was beyond attentive and straightforward about the plan we needed to implement to help Isaac. What we thought would just be leash work to help his reactivity led us to learn the true process that makes a dog attentive and obedient. He set out a great plan over 5 weeks that gave us homework as well to reinforced what we learned and make sure we and Isaac were prepared for our follow-up lesson. This leads me to remind people that you need to put in the work between lessons, because had we not followed this request from Mariano, we would't have gotten Isaac's focus and obedience as fast. The homework Mariano gave us was detailed and straightforward and didn't take much more than 15 minutes a day between sessions. So at this point you are probably wondering why i've left such a detailed review, but it is because of the results. So any person that's read this far is probably a dedicated dog mom or dad and are here for the details of who they are entrusting with the well-being of their dog. Results: Isaac can now walk past any dog on and off leash and stay focused. We can point to a place in our house or friends house and tell him to go to a certain place and he will go sit, and lie there until we release him. He knows heel, right, and middle and even some tricks now as well. These results have helped my relationship with Isaac improve tenfold and help ensure his safety as well. I get comments all the time about how well-behaved Isaac is, and I always tell people that he wasn't always like that, and that I owe it all to Mariano and Untamed.
