If you're looking for a dog trainer in the Jacksonville/Anniston/Oxford area, you must call Sergio. I adopted my pup during covid, so he missed out on the typical dog-to-dog interaction my other dogs got to experience as puppies. This caused him to become reactive to dogs and other animals (cats, squirrels, etc.). He's great with people, but taking him in public can be stressful for both me and him because you never know when you'll encounter another dog. I've tried other trainers in the past (both one-on-one and boarded training), and I'd about given up, opting to live a life where my pup never got to leave our home except to go to the vet. Then I found Sergio. He was the first trainer to help me understand how to work with my pup so that once training was done, I could keep practicing with him so he didn't revert back to his prior behavior. Sergio took the time to listen to our needs and customize a program that taught not just my pup, but me too! Sergio truly cares about his clients (both two and four legged). He's an extremely talented trainer, and I 100% recommend him to anyone I know with a dog.

I can't recommend Sergio from Valencia K9 Academy LLC enough! While I was away on vacation, my dog, Duke, unfortunately got sick, and Sergio went above and beyond in taking care of him. Not only did he stay calm and handle the situation with incredible professionalism, but he also took Duke to the vet and made sure he received the proper care. I truly appreciate how thoughtful and responsible Sergio was—he kept me updated every step of the way, so I never had to worry. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the well-being of the pets he looks after. I’m so grateful for his support and would trust him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best!! Our baby girl was nervous, scared and worried about the World! She spent her time “at school” - we received continuous updates, training instructions and She is seeing the world a totally different way. We are forever grateful and appreciative for all of the hardwork and dedication for not only our baby- but all the others. Valencia K9 Academy is an amazing Training Academy! Our Cane Corso Saban was 6 months old and already 100lbs when he went to training with him. I was scared to death and didn’t want to take him. But after meeting him and seeing how he treated our baby we knew we made the right decision. We love that our Baby Saban was able to train with him. Saban came back a better dog. He still stays in contact with us and keeps hands on with any refresher that is need and is always there when we need help. I would not take my dog anywhere else. He also offers boarding. When we board with him, we have no worries about how our dog is treated and kelp. He does an amazing job with all the dogs.
