Valley View Canine

Highly recommend Valley View! We got our boy Murphy and promptly signed us up for puppy preschool at 12 weeks. We then went through obedience I and will be signing up for obedience II. Lynette somehow remembers all the dogs and owners names and situations! You can tell she really cares about each dog and family. Murphy went from being a wild wiggly puppy to being able to walk calmly at a relaxed heel and many other commands that I thought he just would be too hyper to get down. The hybrid class format makes it so easy for our busy lives to fit it in. Working mom of a toddler so convenience is key! Her class goes over way more than training your dog to walk and stay, she dives deep in proper exercise/nutrition/health/grooming and so much more. Worth the money and time!!!

I HIGHLY recommend Valley View Canine! We have taken classes and private lessons from Lynette as well as boarding our dogs with her. Koda and Jasper are my first dogs so I had a lot to learn! They are both very sweet and I knew they wanted to be good girls, but they were super anxious and I’ll be honest … unruly … after we moved cross country to OR this past summer. And I didn’t know how to help them. After several months with Valley View Canine, I saw them change into completely different dogs! They are much less anxious and obedient beyond what I would have imagined. And as we continue with Lynette, I know their journey will get even better! Not only did I learn how to handle them, but also the “why” behind their behaviors as well as fantastic care tips. If you are (1) looking for an amazing dog trainer, (2) are open to receiving direct and honest feedback about how you can be a better dog owner, and (3) are willing to put in consistent time & practice, consider your search over! Lynette, and Valley View Canine are fantastic! It’s obvious that Lynette loves animals and loves the owners. She is very encouraging to both, which makes the experience even better. Lynette has been training dogs since she was young, and that experience shows, when she is addressing issues. What I find the most helpful is that Lynette doesn’t just tell you what to do with your dog, she also explains “why” you should use a specific command. And then she takes it further and tells you what your dog is thinking and why. I find that understanding the why behind behaviors makes it much easier to address. We have had both class lessons, and private lessons. With consistent application of the skills Lynette has shared, the change in our dogs has been unbelievable. Lynette also offers board and train. The peace of mind knowing your dogs are well cared for when you are away, and that they will receive continued training, allows you to be away with no worries. I highly recommend Lynette and Valley View Canine, if you want a trainer who truly cares about the dogs.

I have been training my dogs with Valley View Canine since the late 1990's when I received a German Shepherd puppy as a birthday gift along with a brochure for obedience training with Valley View Canine. Bruder loved his training and even in his old age I would take for him a nail trim. He would give Lynette kisses and hold very still for her. Three years ago I adopted my third German Shepherd and immediately enrolled him in obedience training with VVC. From an adult dog who didn't understand "sit" he had progressed to Obedience 3 and loves his training! He saw is first parade in May and I was very grateful for the knowledge I've gained training w/VVC to help him cope with sirens, marching bands and all the floats with loud noises. A shop keeper invited us to come into her shop full of breakables to help him get a break and even put water out for him! He was a perfect gentledog! Thank you VVC!
