Valley View Canine

We wanted to find a local trainer after our recent move. We could not have found a better program! The online classes allow us to share and receive personalized answers. Then the in person classes allow us to focus on working with our dog. This program is designed to equip the owner to really know and love their dog. I wish I would’ve found the style of training years ago. Our sweet puppy is thriving.

Lynette has been very helpful with my dogs. They now have so much more respect and trust in me when we go on walks. Instead of constantly pulling on their leash the whole walk they will consistently walk by my side in any kind of environment. They are always engaged with me in case I need to give them a command. I would recommend Valley View Canine to anyone that needs help with their dogs of any age!

We have 2 dogs currently in VVC's classes, one pup in obedience 1 and an older dog in obedience 2. Though both dogs have different personalities, they are both driven, energetic, herding breeds with their own ideas. Lynette's classes have been invaluable in helping us curb unwanted behaviors while instilling wanted ones. Plus, our bond and enjoyment with both dogs has grown tremendously and frustrations are at an all-time low. I must mention that our older dog had previously gone through several series of training at another facility that was reward/treat based. Though he did ok in those classes, he learned very quickly that he was in charge, didn't have to do anything he didn't want to (and wouldn't if the reward wasn't sufficient), and that he could behave badly/bark and then stop to then recieve extra treats from the trainer. Because LLC uses positive attention and correction instead of treats, Kooper now follows directions without expectation of reward!

I have had both of my Basset Hounds in Obedience classes with Lynette. She is an amazing trainer and has experience with all breeds of dogs. Training is rewarded with praise, not with treats. That has really strengthened my bond with my dogs. The hybrid class format has worked well for me. There is plenty of individual feedback in the virtual classes then it all comes together in the in person group classes. I highly recommend classes for you and your dog with Lynette.

If you are in the greater Portland area look no furhter than Valley View Canine! Lynette is absolutely amazing at working with dogs from all various types of breeds and backgrounds! She is so knowledgable, kind, and patient with her clients and their dogs. You can tell she loves what she does! She pours her heart and soul in to this business and all her love in to the animals and her clients. The hybrid format is so convenient for busy people on the go, with in person classes on the weekends! She has classes for all activity levels at such a great price compared to other people in town. If you are going to invest your time and money, this is your best bet! UPDATE: I’ve been working with Lynette for the last 9 months and my dog has made so much progress! Not only that, Lynette has been so gracious and understanding when I’ve had some things come up in my personal life as well. I consider her to be a part of my family! She loves with her whole heart and puts so much in to everything she does for us humans and our fur babies! Thank you Lynette!
