Valor K9 Training

We adopted Jet in March 2021, and he couldn’t be around people. It changed our whole life; we couldn’t have people over to our house, we couldn’t go anywhere, even vet appointments were stressful! We went through 2 trainers before being referred to Valor K9 Training, and one of the trainers wouldn’t even get near Jet. We were at the point where we would have to try to re-home him, which didn’t seem possible, or we would have to put him down—which was unthinkable. Ernie and the team at Valor K-9 Training evaluated Jet several times to come up with a plan for addressing Jet’s reactivity. We were given tasks/homework to prepare him for a board and train. He spent a 3 week board and train, and we would come up once a week to train with Jet. I was amazed after the first week when I saw him sitting with Ernie! We were given instructions for bringing him home. We just had my parents over to my house, and for the first time, Jet was able to sit with us—outside of his crate, and he behaved like a perfect gentleman! I feel like we’ve gotten our lives back, and we have the tools to deal with Jet when he steps out of line! I am so grateful for their help! I enthusiastically recommend anyone who has a dog that is taking over their lives to give Ernie and the Valor team a call! He will work with you to help you take back control!

i brought my dog here to for a board and train after seeing reviews and doing an evaluation, i thought this was going to be the right choice for my dog. however, i came back home with the same dog but worse. she was sick, covered in dandruff, and even though i provided my own dog food and a new bag, i was told she was on a new bag without my consent to switch her. i took my dog to the vet as soon as i brought her back home and she was underweight, was on antibiotics since she was sick, and transitioned her back to her original food with gi upset. the commands i thought she learned she did not learn after trying to do them when i brought her back home. luckily, since she was in a crate the majority of the time, she came back somewhat potty trained. im kind of disappointed that my family spent 900$ on training that could have been used for something else. dont get me wrong, this is a wonderful program and what they are doing for veterans is amazing. but i have not brought my dog back and i have done the training myself at home.
