Van Hendrix K9

Turning to Van Hendrix K-9 was our last resort with our German Shepherd Otto and the beginning of his transformation to a family dog. He was out of control with his aggressive behaviors, insecurities, chewing and many other bad habits. We couldn't take him anywhere, not even on a walk. The VHK9 team didn't make false promises. It was hard work. But they were dedicated to Otto and our family. We did our part in coming to training regularly and working on it at home. We could not believe the transformation when Otto came home. Their knowledge is impressive and their methods work. We plan to continue our work with the trainers to make Otto an even better family dog. I just can't say enough about our experience.

It’s too bad google 0 stars. Earlier this week I spoke with Hagen, who scheduled a 2 pm consultation on a Sunday (today). I drove an hour to Van Hendrix’s Miami location for the consult and arrived 5 mins early, dialed on the call box, no answer. Called Hagen at the phone number he called me on earlier this week and he answered. I told him I was there for the 2pm consult. He said “1 minute, I’ll be right there.” 15 minutes later, no one ever came to the gate and no one ever called me, even after I buzzed the call box again. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful.

If I can rate without giving any stars, I would. Worst experience of my life. On my dog's first day of training (May 2016) he had to be put to sleep. The owner of the company told one of his teen trainers to evaluate my dog; which he took my dog out and by the time they came back, my dog was having a heat stroke. At the time of the heat stroke they told me, my dog was cooling down but it appeared that they had no clue what was wrong with my dog. (Neither did I.) I was going by what they told me, and I didn't no that they had no clue what was going on. They kept calling their vet, which never answer or called back. So, they decided to throw my dog in iced water and according to the vet my dog went to, the vet said it made things worse... I do give this to them. They eventually, took my dog to another vet. But it bothers, that the second the two teens that took my dog to the vet, had the chance to run, they did just that. And I never heard from the teen again. The owner of the training company did claim to help with the vet bill but at the end, he never help pay my vet bill or cared that I couldn't afford it. All the owner of the company told me, two days later was that, he can offer me a new puppy. Til this day, I still cry for making the mistake of going to them to help train my dog. I wasn't planning on rating them but I still hurt deep inside. Funny thing, since the vet bill wasn't crazy expensive, I couldn't really sue him. Even though, I can do a small claim case but it made me realize either way, I don't want his money. I don't want him to have any more part of my dog, even if it meant, me paying a bill I couldn't afford. Now I have trouble to ever consider going to any dog trainer or trusting anyone with any of my dogs.
