Very Good Dog Training

Ellie is the most incredible “dog trainer.” I put that in quotes because really she helped to train us to be better communicators with our dog, Sandy. Ellie is patient, understanding, kind, and funny. She was super responsive when I would text her with a question and always helped us work through any issue that arose. She taught me that I can be a great dog handler and that Sandy and our family can live a wonderful life together. I am so much more confident with training. I used to run away from anything that caused Sandy to break a command or get anxious or aggressive. Now I have the skills to work through it and help Sandy. My appreciation for Very Good Dog Training can’t really be described in words. Thank you so very much. This has truly been life changing!

My family and I just finished two months of training with Chris and we could not have asked for a better experience. Two months ago, my mini australian shepherd puppy was disobedient, destructive, anxious and unbalanced. My main concerns were his hyperactivity which made him very difficult to control. He always needed to be busy which lead him to make bad decisions. This caused a high stress environment for me, a busy graduate student with two jobs and hardly any free time. Now, my dog has learned how to live peacefully and turn off his hyperactive mind. I can do work and have my dog sit next to me for hours, something that was unheard of two months ago. He is a completely different dog. Two months ago we couldn’t even have guests over and now we can because my dog can peacefully coexist with us. I cannot recommend Chris enough, he is a pleasure to work with and he is everything that a teacher should be- patient, kind, compassionate, extremely supportive, and SO smart! He really is the best in the game. Committing to training my dog has not always been easy but Chris has a way of providing endless amounts of support that made it almost impossible to give up! He encouraged me the entire way through and always had the perfect detailed solutions and feedback for day to day problems/questions that came up. From day 1, Chris promised us his support and a happier life with our dog and that’s exactly what we got. Looking back, I can’t believe we didn’t start training sooner because Chris has given us and our puppy a whole new way of life. I called VGTD as a final resort because I didn’t think anything could help my dog but it has been worth every penny. If you’re even considering it, just do it because Chris will change your life!

We have been working with Chris for 2 months and could not have asked for a better trainer. We went from a nervous reactive dog where we could not take her everywhere. Now she a calmer dog who we are not longer worried about letting her off leash and enjoying the outdoors with her. Chris is amazing, very down to earth and cares greatly about dogs and pet owners. Would 100% recommend to anyone who has a dog
