VIP Dog Sports

Normally I don't write about a company or write tutorials on behalf of a company. However, this is a special occasion. I have been with Katrina now for almost 2 years, may I add, every minute of it has been a wonderful experience. I suffer from PTSD and TBI, and I am a veteran from the military. I was authorized to have a service dog, and now he also does agility classes. My dog (Cooper) began training with Katrina when he was 7 months old. The knowledge Cooper received not only taught him, but taught me. I was able to learn quickly about the type of patience, dedication, and drive Cooper had while training at her company and at my home. I also learned that with this type of training I needed to be more disciplined, consistent, patient, and dedicated to Cooper's training needs. Training Cooper was a challenge for me at first. Being being prior military and in a leadership position, I was used to giving direction and guidance once; and then getting the correct result there after. Katrina helped retrain my mind to get away from the military/leadership thought process and take my time with Cooper's training. Katrina took the time out to show me how to make Cooper want to learn, work, and follow through with his lessons, and what 'right' looked like. She gave me guidance on how to make Cooper happy and to understand that my concerns and frustrations with the training was not based on my baby(Cooper) but about me. When I was able to finally let go of my thoughts and feelings I was able to get GREAT results with Cooper in return. Cooper has been a truly successful service dog and now an agility dog story. And I am proud to stated that I truly thank Katrina for this. I LOVE the fact that Katrina is not about the amount of money her business could bring in. She is solely 100% invested in the dog (her client) and the owner of her client. If you are fully honest with her, she has no problem going above and beyond to help assist you whenever you need it. I know this because she did this for me. Katrina is truly a God Send for myself and Cooper. Cooper and I have been blessed to have her in our lives. I'm honored to state that I am a 'VIP Dog Sports' customer FOR LIFE!

We just finished our private puppy lessons with Katrina and we could not be happier! We have a Boykin Spaniel that would drag us down the street when we would walk him. Now we are learning how to have pleasant walks that are better for both of us. We are also improving other behaviors. Katrina uses a relationship building philosophy for training your dog. We now have a better understanding of what our dog is thinking and thus his reactions. Her facilities are clean, organized, and inviting to the dog and owner. She would listen to us, instruct us, and give us detailed, individualized printed homework. We will be back for more classes!
