Vivid Dog Training

Definitely recommend Tess and Vivid Dog Training! When I first moved to Charlotte, I was incredibly nervous about finding a good fit for boarding my dog. He is exceedingly anxious around new people and new situations and is a flight risk. Tess took my concerns seriously and met him where he is at. She knew how to handle him, how to integrate him into the boarding groups, and give him confidence in a new space. He absolutely loves his time with her and is always excited to get there, which is so welcome to see after his initial wariness. Her space is definitely his preferred home away from home.

We highly recommend Vivid Dog Training. Tess has helped us train our dog, Samson, over the years. We started with Vivid right away with puppy basic classes. Then we did a board and train program around 6mos old. As a result, Samson is very mannerly and well behaved. He does not pull us on walks. He is trained to stay on his “place bed” when needed. He does not jump on guests or bark at people. One of my favorite things is that he does not dash out the door when it’s left open when greeting a guest or carrying groceries in from the car. He waits to walk out the door until given permission. Because of his training through Vivid, Samson is a very enjoyable well mannered family dog. We are so thankful!

Tess at Vivid Dog Training did an amazing job training our mini bernadoodle. We did board and train and after 4 weeks, our 9 month old had all the basic commands down pat, as well as loose leash walking. The follow up “owner training” taught us how to continue to solidify her training at home. I have even had people stop me in the neighborhood to comment how well behaved our dog is! Tess is kind and knowledgeable…plus communication during our dog’s stay was excellent. I certainly recommend Vivid Dog Training for anyone looking to set their pup, and their owners, up for success!

Tess is amazing! She helped train us in addition to our "textbook" Labrador Retriever, Libby. We've always had well behaved labs and needed help with Libby. Tess broke down the training in manageable sessions and explained the "why" also. Libby is so good and happy as are we. We have the tools to continue to train her and handle any new issues that may come up. Tess is always available to answer questions.
