Highly recommend Sam’s training! We spent three hours with him in our home and not just learned how to train our 8 month old puppy, but why it works and why it’s important. After one week of implementing his suggestions she is significantly less reactive. After just three days, our pup that hated the crate is happily sleeping and resting in the crate by choice. Sam Smith came to my home this evening for a free consultation to work with my 1 year old Australian Cattle dog, Luna. Luna is like most cattle dogs; extremely smart, energetic, stubborn and territorial. As soon as Sam walked in the door it was clear he was running the show and Luna knew too very quickly. It took Sam about two minutes to become the authority figure in the house for Luna. It was extremely clear to me that Sam has been doing this for years and knew much more than any of the other trainers I've worked with. He was very informative about the traits of the specific breed of my dog and dog behavior theory in general. Toward the end of the consultation we were outside and he was walking Luna with her right beside him on a loose leash in complete control of her. I couldn't stop smiling because he showed me that I was going to be able to have the dog I've always wanted if I was willing to put the work in. He mentioned he was a representative for rocket dog leashes and since I was impressed with the leash he brought I asked if he sold them, he handed me his leash and said I could keep it. when I asked if I could set up a follow up training session he said he was confident I was going to be able to train Luna without further need of his services, and I believe him. I have had consultations with other dog trainers in the area and none of them even come close to Sam. For him to come to my home and volunteer an hour and half of his time, give me a leash, and then not try to sell me a training package, it really shows the quality of his character. Sam is an excellent trainer and an extremely honest person, and I can't recommend him enough. I will be recommending him to all of my dog owning friends and family. Thank you Sam.
