Walk This Way Canine Behavior Therapy

Adopted two dogs in the summer of 2025 - Seamus and Willow. Researched many dog trainers in the area and found Renee at Walk this Way! Renee offered exactly what we needed with in home training. When most trainers are starting with basic leash obedience as step one, Renee really took the time to assess our home environment and observed our dogs. She surprised us when on day one she said we needed a really good recall off lead because of the size of our fenced in property. So we started with off lead recall work! After 8 training sessions (and lots of “homework” in between) we humans have learned so much and our dogs are always impressing us with how well they are doing with on/off leash commands, recall, settling in to their new home environment, and working around and with a wheelchair user. If you are looking for a trainer with the background to really meet you and your dogs where you are at and build the type of relationship you seek with your pups- then Walk this Way and Renee is exactly that!

Archie is our first dog and I had absolutely no idea how to take care of a puppy and train him to be a member of our family. Renee was great - before we even brought him home she helped me decide what I needed and how he should be treated in those first few days. Her house training advice was practical and easy to follow. She has such a positive and friendly personality which made learning the puppy basics fun and much less stressful than I’d imagined. To this day when Archie sees her he gets super exited and gives her a big hello! I highly recommend working with Renee!
