Walker Retriever Complex

In December we adopted a sweet lab mix from Animal Village in Little Rock. A “3yo fully grown lab” was actually only around 9 months old, and a ball of uncontrollable energy. I had never owned a dog, and I soon realized I was in way over my head. My boyfriend referred me to Chad, as he had trained both of his German shepherds. My girl, Snickers attended the two month obedience program. Chad communicated the entire time I was on the wait list. He gave me guidance to help get me until training. While Snickers was there he communicated weekly to give us updates. He trained Snickers on snickers’ timeline and needs vs a set schedule. The three training sessions Chad had with me gave me confidence in how to transition Snickers home to train her to the rules of our home. Now at home training session are fun because we have a framework to put in the work. We also now have the ability to take Snickers more places because I have a way to control her. Previously I couldn’t control her and my two kids at the same time so she was often left home in the kennel. I’m really appreciative for Chad; hopeful for many enjoyable years with our girl; and excited to see how much she grows in the next 6 months. I highly recommend Walker Retriever Complex.

We had a great experience working with Chad at Walker Retriever Complex! Our Boxer, Marlo, has come a long way since starting training. Chad was easy to work with, explained everything in a way that made sense, and gave us simple techniques we could use every day. Before training, our dog would pull on the leash, jump on everyone who came through the front door, and needed some work on basic obedience. Now our Boxer walks calmly on a leash, listens much better, obeys commands and does a great job greeting people without jumping all over them. What I liked most is that Chad didn't just train our dog—he taught us how to work with her so we could keep making progress at home. You can tell he really cares about helping both the dog and the owner succeed. If you're looking for a dog trainer, I definitely recommend Chad at Walker Retriever Complex. Our sweet Meena just came home from some intense training that was much needed. She is a sweet heart but has no “off button” and is stubborn as a mule. Chad did amazing things with her and we are beyond thrilled. Didn’t think we would ever see her follow a command but she does! He not only trained her, but also Steve and I. We now have the tools to keep her on the right track and make her obey us like she did him. Having a dog you can control and enjoy is an investment you will never regret and we cannot recommend Walker Retriever Complex enough!
