Dave and Lee Walker And Melissa have been wonderful training four of my English pointers. Two of them were “mostly trained” and they have finished them up so that they are ready to go this fall. All four pointers had been to other trainers. But They did not take the time or have the wisdom or patience to go slow with young dogs, and were too hard on them. So 2 of them were partly gunshy, and blinking birds. One of my gunshy dogs has been there for a couple of months and she has made great progress. Dave sent me videos frequently showing me how all three dogs were doing and in particular, the one who was gunshy. It quickly became apparent that Dave and Lee and Melissa loved and appreciated all of my dogs as much as I do. I don’t believe a trainer would be nearly as successful if they didn’t have the love of dogs that these folks do. And the dogs know it too. As a result, I took my fourth dog to Dave about a week ago, and I have high hopes for him to overcome being afraid also. I could not recommend the Walkers more highly. I also learned that entrusting your dog to the wrong trainer can be a huge mistake.

I brought my 3 year old mixed breed to Dave for training. He did such a great job really building her off leash and distraction reliability, and also made sure that I had the tools to continue her training at home. My dog can be a bit sensitive, so I am always hesitant of new trainers; Dave was very intentional about building a relationship with her and working at the correct level for her sensitivities, while also making great progress in only 2 weeks! I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone looking to really advance their dogs training.
