Walking Dog Training

My dog Jax is quite literally my "soul dog", and he is also my little wild child. Admittedly, he is the first dog I've ever raised, AND he is an Aussie. So, it was apparently a recipe for chaos haha. He is an incredible pup, so smart and loving, but as we quickly learned, he is anxious and fiesty. This led to challenges with reactivity in the past year that I didn't have the tools to deal with, so I turned to Bethany for help with training my wild child. It was 1000% worth it. The Board and Train was the perfect program for Jax to undo some bad habits, learn structure, and find his "calm". I held a lot of shame for his reactivity all this time, but Bethany was not once judging and assured me that the things I felt were more common than I'd think. She has worked her magic with my dog using the e-collar teaching him boundaries and structure, and he is so obedient now, it's incredible. She even found my working dog a "job", and I found a new hobby with biking! Because I let life get crazy, and didn't prioritize Jax's training in his first year, I thought that I would never get to do the outdoor activities I always wanted to do with my dog because of reactivity. Now I know that I can, and I am beyond excited. I can't wait to send his sister Noelle to her Board and Train! Thank you so much, Bethany!!

Walking Dog Training is amazing to work with! Bethany is a dog whisperer. She has helped us with 2 of our dogs and both experiences have been so rewarding. Being able to communicate and feel comfortable with our dogs after being trained is so valuable. Everything is easier with a trained dog! Bethany has a wonderful, easy way with dogs and people- I love her attention to detail and to our needs. I love her system and the way she trains. Bethany is a literal miracle worker!!! One of my boys was reactive and one was verrrrryyy nervous. I say “was” because they are now calm and confident boys after Walking Dog Training’s Board and Train program!!! Just as important is that I am a more calm and confident dog owner as I am no longer fearful of how they might react towards other dogs or people while on a walk or when guest some into my home!!! Bethany is a lifesaver to me!! My puppy, June, had no idea that I was in charge and I didn't know where to start. I needed help with basics and manners at home and on walks. I would have been intimidated to start e-collar training on my own. Bethany was so helpful before, during, and after the two week stay. I had materials to read and watch, and I could watch her daily activities and progress on instagram. It's so clear that Bethany truly cares about the dogs, which was the most comforting thing about leaving her for two weeks. She worked to get her anxious behaviors under control and was so thoughtful and caring throughout the process. The progress I see in June after two weeks is amazing and speaks so much to Bethany's work. She sent me the CUTEST pictures the whole way through which eased my anxiety immediately. At the go home session, I got my own training which was so helpful and made continuing her progress so much less intimidating. I'm fully set up and confident that with this headstart (aka miracle), June will be so happy and fulfilled at my house.

Before the board and train program, I dreaded walking my dog, it was always chaotic and stressful when she saw other dogs or even squirrels. She was VERY reactive and I did not feel in control of many situations. Now I can walk her with a hands free leash and feel confident taking her out in public! We couldn’t be happier with Layla’s progress, it exceeded our expectations. At the go home session it was obvious that Layla had grown attached to Bethany which just made my heart happy knowing she had been so well taken care of. I loved the open communication we had the two weeks while Layla was with her, she sent daily updates and pictures. I would recommend Bethany to anyone needing help with dog training!
