We Are One K9 Training

I can’t say enough great things about We Are One K9 Training! From our first interaction, Mariann was patient, knowledgable, and truly cared about my puppy’s progress and our family’s success. She tailored our training to fit our puppy’s unique personality and needs, making the process effective and enjoyable. Stella thought she was at camp not training! I’ve even had to phone a friend when I needed some guidance at home and she responded with suggestions right away. I loved following her training online, especially since I missed her but also saw how to do some of the exercises at home as well. I’d highly recommend!

Before my dog Zoey went with Mariann for training our walks outside were more torcher than they were enjoyable. Zoey would lunge and bark at other dogs, pull on the leash, and as an 80 lb Saint Berdoodle- she'd appear very scary to many people. Even Zoey's eating habits were out of whack. Her dog reactivity was off the charts and usually I'd come back from walks crying. When Zoey came home from her training she was so much better, her dog reactivity was transformed into "Oh there's a dog, I don't care mom". Our walks became fun, both of our moods were lifted. Mariann spent over two hours with us the day Zoey came home showing me the training techniques and how to handle certain situations. Even throughout Zoey's training I was seeing and receiving constant updates on Zoey's progress. I can't say enough about this program and Mariann. She changed both our lives for the better and I am forever grateful. If you have a reactive dog I would absolutely recommend this program. Our dachshund puppy, Scoot, is a proud alum of Mariann's 3 week board & train program! We cannot express how grateful we are for how much hard work Mariann put in to help him grow in confidence. It's been completely life-changing for both him and us as owners. Before the training, Scoot was very afraid of being outside and would bolt toward home at any moment. He was unable to calm himself down and would just pull and pull and pull until we eventually went inside. Even inside, he was unable to relax and barely slept during the day. At night, he'd bark in his crate if something scared him, sometimes for hours. After training, it's like living with a different puppy. We finally get to see him be his happy, wiggly self without so much fear and anxiety. He still gets a little spooked outside sometimes, but now he knows how to calm himself down and we have the tools to help him. He's way more relaxed (even lazy) inside and we're all FINALLY getting enough sleep. We were even able to take him with us on two separate flights over the holidays, something we couldn't imagine doing before we found WAOK9! Through it all, Mariann was such a wonderful resource of information, validation, and encouragement. It was hard being away from Scoot, but her updates were always the highlights of our days. It was incredible to see not only his progress, but the care and expertise from Mariann too. There were so many lightbulb moments where his behavior made sense, thanks to her explanations. And now, going forward, we feel so much more confident in taking on any hurdles that might come our way. It's only been two months since Scoot came home and already I can confidently say that Mariann's training has been the best investment we've ever made. We feel so lucky to have her on our team. If you're looking for a trainer to help with an anxious, scared dog, she is the best. She has completely transformed our bond with Scoot for the better and we cannot thank her enough.
