We brought our 8 month old American Lab to West Wind Retrievers after recommendations from our breeder and friends in the community. Liberty (Judge's Liberty of Southland) went through the 5-week Off Leash basic obedience course and we couldn't be more pleased! Her demeanor and behavior is completely changed and she obeys all commands without hesitation. The professionalism and competency of John and Sara was evident in the transformation of our dog. Additionally, John offered a military discount once he found out I was active duty Air Force. I wholeheartedly recommend West Wind Retrievers and the Kelsos for training at any level...you will not be disappointed!
Side note, she was in training over the holidays which worried our 8 year old daughter...the Kelsos brought Liberty into their home for Christmas and sent us photos of how well she was doing! That's family oriented values at their finest!

It has been 3 months since we got Gunner back from WWRT and he has been doing phenomenal!! We are pleased to say that we can go on walks with him without pulling, he can hang out with us in the front yard without a leash and running away, and he listens to his commands very well. Sara did an amazing job teaching him the basics and even more. We highly recommend sending your pups to WWRT!!

I boarded my dogs, Atlas and Ajax, with West Wind while on vacation recently. I could not be happier. They were taken care of and even got a bath right before the ride back to Richmond! Traveling is hassle free when the folks at West Wind Retrievers are looking after your dogs.

Honestly, going into training for a puppy, I didnt expect too much. Just wanted my puppy to behave and listen to me once in a while. Its been a little over a month since we have our girl back and all I got to say is that I am AMAZED on how shes keeping up on the training and its absolutely fantastic! You just have to keep up the training that Sara advised me to do when i got home and wherever we are my puppy responds to my commands. If I every have another dog I would definitely send them to WWRT again. A+ service and communication! They know what they're doing. Thanks again!!!
