Where Sit Happens Dog Training and Enrichment

Jessica and her team are truly amazing. You can tell everyone is well-trained and has a lot of experience in animal behavior. There is no place in the area quite like WSH. My pup and I travel 30 minutes to be able to come, but it’s worth it! Adopting a puppy is very overwhelming (to say the least!), but this is the place to start! Everyone at WSH is able to read and understand each dog and meet each dog’s individual needs. It’s truly special. Not only are they phenomenal with the dogs, but they provide the owners specific feedback in a positive and non-threatening or non-accusatory manner to help them form a bond with their pup. My VERY high-energy Boxer-Mix, Lucy, is 7 months old now and we have been attending WSH classes since she was 3 months. In that short amount of time, she’s learned “sit, down, come, touch” and even with some distractions. She responds to her name when called and this is all attributed to Jessica and her team! I love that my pup has the opportunity to meet and play with other dogs while being supervised by professionals. I love that I now know what positive dog-play behavior looks like vs. unhappy/uncomfortable dog-play behavior. I cannot say enough wonderful things about WSH! 10/10 recommend!

Jess & co have been wonderful with Kirby, our 10-month-old GSD rescue. He was pretty reactive with other dogs when he first came to class, but 'Where Sit Happens' quickly built his confidence with patient, hands-on instruction that progressed through simple steps, and exercises we could continue at home. Kirby seldom barks at dogs now, including in Brooklyn where he sees a lot. We can't wait to celebrate his 'level three' graduation and look forward to attending 'Social Nights' and agility classes.

It has been an absolute pleasure bringing my new one-year-old rescue to training at Where Sit Happens. Compared to other training facilities I've experienced with previous dogs, what stands out most is the flexibility and diversity in class offerings and scheduling. The frequent classes have shown better results for my learning pup. They do not wait to level-up your pet until the end of a session or term like most places do; they advance pups based on progress in real time! The trainers are all highly qualified, patient, and personable, providing realistic training and expectations that I can practice at home. Their prices are fair, and the facility is perfect. They offer creative classes and have fostered a community-oriented learning environment for pet owners. Small class sizes ensure you never feel like you're on your own for more than a few minutes, which is crucial.
