Whispering Oaks AKC DOG TRAINING

Mike and team are definitely the best in the business! We felt we left our German Shepherd mix, Stirna, in good hands from the moment we walked in. Mike and team regularly checked in, sent us training progress videos, and, most importantly, left us with invaluable tools to continue at-home training and succeed after the “summer camp” was done! We’re grateful every day for Mike and the entire team for teaching us how to “speak Dog” and truly making Stirna the confident, disciplined, and gentle dog we always knew she could be. No more bolting out the door, no more chasing critters, no more running into traffic, and no more leash pulling. We now take her everywhere we go and she’s glued to our side even with the leash off. Amazing job!

I wanted to tell you about my experience at whispering oaks akc dog training. I spoke with Mike on the phone and he gave me a complete overview of what they did for training. When I arrived Mike asked several questions about our concerns and what we expected. Then Nash, lead trainer, took me on a tour of the facility and explained the daily routines. Every 7 days I received a video from Nash showcasing Fiddle's training. When we picked Fiddle up, Nash spent 3 hours training each of us with Fiddle. Mike came out a few days later. He listened to concerns and helped us on things we were not doing right. Mike also worked with Fiddle on our electric dog fence. I can't express the gratitude. Fiddle is so much more enjoyable and I am so confident. We also had the pet fence installed while Fiddle was being trained. Pamela Matthew & Adam walked through each step with us. I cannot say enough about all of them. Thank you!

We were hesitant to leave our dog for the 21-day program, but it ended up being one of the best investments we've ever made. Every staff member was kind, knowledgeable, and truly invested in helping our dog succeed. Our dog struggled with fear, confidence, excitement, and personal space. We loved receiving weekly updates with videos and her progress. The difference was obvious before we even got home. On the way to training, she was so anxious she shook, whined, and even had an accident. On the way home, she calmly got in the car, relaxed while we stopped for lunch, and was a completely different dog. Best of all, she came home still being the same sweet, loving dog—just calmer, more confident, and eager to follow and please. We are so grateful for the care and dedication they poured into her and can't recommend them enough! They have made it clear that we will have support for anything needed in the future!

Cute and cuddly but a bit of a stubborn streak. That’s Teddy, or was Teddy before Whispering Oaks stepped in to handle his training. Now he is cute and cuddly and well behaved. As a two time Cavachon owner I expected the cute and cuddly but wasn’t prepared for how stubborn Teddy was compared to my previous Cavachon. Since I was going on vacation and would have to board Teddy, this turned out to be the perfect time to do the 3 week board and train advanced program. It had gotten to the point where I was having difficulty controlling him while walking because his pull was so strong. He was also an aggressive chewer— 3 pairs of prescription glasses, a remote control, 5 leather leashes, tassels on area rug in the breakfast room—just to name a few. And he was always jumping up on people. This was particularly difficult with my 94 yo mother who lives in an assisted living facility. Teddy has been home for a week now and what a difference. I can actually go for a walk and he calmly walks right beside me. The neighborhood cats he would normally run after with me on the other end of the leash might as well not even be there now. He walks right past them. And if people approach us he sits calmly while we talk and doesn’t try to jump on them. I visited my mom the other night at the assisted living facility and I couldn’t have asked for any better behavior. He even sat calmly for the other residents sitting in the lobby. Thank you to Nash and Rhonda for doing such a great job with the training. The entire organization that Mike has put together is fantastic! The training is well worth every penny spent and has given me the joy that I was missing previously.
