We use Praise Motivated Training Techniques and provide 3-4 hour Train the Trainer turn over to transfer to you what we taught your family pet. The training of the family to handle their newly trained dog is what separates us from other trainers.

MATTHEW, Ace is doing very well in his training. He has also settled in nicely and is currently working on all the AKC Basic Obedience Concepts. He is working doing three 45 minute training sessions per day as well as three 1.5 hour play sessions. We have had a chance to talk and text a couple of times. We are qualified to Train Dogs that do not hear or do not see. If you look us up on Face Book - search for - Whispering Oaks Kennels Professional Dog Training - you will see a dog named "Egg" who came to us for Passive Aggression issues. Egg came back to us one year later for boarding; I greeted him and put him through his paces immediately. I had Carley video tape. Egg did everything perfectly. He can see, but not hear. He learned all his Basic Obedience through Hand Motions and looking at our face and body. We have been training dogs professionally for 20 years.

We are so happy with the training everyone did for our Skye. It was hard leaving her for 3 weeks but it was so worth it. She is a different dog and is so well behaved. Everyone there is so knowledgeable and so kind. I can’t say enough great things about all of them ❤️

We have a 5 month old Poochon and a 2 year old Havanese. Both have been trained at Whispering Oaks with fantastic results. As the Poochon - named Crouton - approached 5 months in age, he was still wild as can be with a lot of puppy still in him and only some progress on house training. After researching on the web, we decided to take him to Whispering Oaks for a three week training course. We received video updates of his progress and were impressed with what they had achieved as the three weeks went by. Cara Ann and Mike worked with him and there knowledge of dogs is outstanding. Owners Mike and Teresa were also involved and provided a wealth of information. When we picked him up at the three week mark, he was able to perform all of the walking, stay, sit, down and other commands as promised. They had no trouble completing his house training and he has been very good since we got him home.
When we got Crouton home and as he interacted with our Havanese - named Gumbo - it became immediately apparent that Gumbo needed additional training. He had been to some classes in the past but was no where near the level of Crouton’s training. We called Whispering Oaks and took him up there the very next day after we got Crouton home. Since he had some training already, he only needed two weeks. They worked with him and sent progress videos as the two weeks went by. Like Crouton, he was able to perform all of the tasks as promised. When we got him back home, they both interacted well and we continue to reinforce the training they received. They are still sorting out who is the alpha dog between them but there is no question that we rule the house and they obey our commands well.
In summary, we could not be happier with Whispering Oaks and highly recommend them. The support received including several hours of training us how to work with the dogs and follow-up phone calls has been very helpful. This has been a major investment for us but over a 15+ year life span, it is well worth it to have “good citizens” in the house.
