Rob was extremely professional and helpful in training our Cavapoo, Baxter. He now listens to many commands and successfully helped with a barking issue we had. He made sure owners were also trained before leaving. I would highly recommend Rob, as he truly cares about you and your loved dog. In reading some of the negative reviews, I am totally in shock, as we had nothing but the best experience ever!!

Outstanding Trainer, Terrific Facility, Outstanding Value! We have two Boxers. They are brothers and at 3.5 years old, are both incredibly energetic. These dogs are from a European working line which means they are genetically predisposed to be very intelligent, high-drive, and even tempered dogs. Though not bred for hunting, they have many of the attributes you would expect from a hunting breed. Not only do they love to play and be active; they have to stay active. Unfortunately, like many people we don’t have the time needed to “properly” train them ourselves. “Properly” is intentionally highlighted as there are many, many shortcuts to training which could result in poor outcomes. And a poor training program (or trainer) can result in significant behavioral problems which are incredibly difficult to resolve. Examples include over reliance on e-collars, pinch/prong collars, and/or choke collars. It can cause dogs to shutdown, go into avoidance, or become fearful. If used properly these tools are very effective with getting the results you want, but only if used in combination with positive reinforcement, praise, and encouragement; there are no shortcuts to having a well trained, stable, and loving pet. Tools and positive reinforcement, in combination with the significant investment of time and repetition, will consistently result in positive outcomes. Rob was highly recommended to us by someone who had brought many of her dogs to him for training. That said, I was VERY skeptical! Our dogs are extremely important to us. The trainer’s credentials were researched in advance, and a phone interview was conducted. Everything checked out, but I was still prepared to walk away even as I was approaching his training facility. There were some things which in addition to his approach to training dogs which were non-negotiable. They included: 1) Indoor kennels needed to be modern, clean, and well maintained. No rusted kennel walls, no peeling floors, no animal waste, and no waste odors. I know it’s not easy, but feel if you can’t get this part right then how can you properly train my dogs? 2) Dog’s health. Rob works hard to ensure all dogs arrive with a comprehensive veterinary certificate of care. If no, they aren’t allowed. 3) The dogs already kenneled have to be clean, housed in clean kennels, and NOT fearful of Rob or others. 4) Rob’s approach had to be completely focused on a positive reinforcement type of training philosophy. It does take more time, but the results are always better. Rob passed the test! His facility is immaculate and his approach is exactly what we wanted. After 3-weeks with Rob our two dogs are off to a great start. Now it’s on us to take what Rob did and continue to work with Tucker and Louis to ensure they continue to improve. Thanks Rob!!

Wow! Rob is wonderful. We took our black lab to be boarded a couple times and then brought him back for training. Rob was so awesome. He sent me updates along the way, videos, and progress reports. We were able to bring Mowgli home for a weekend and he was soo good. Then back for more school. Mowgli is such a good dog. His training was impressive and Rob is a wonderful person. Very caring, wants to teach you so your dog continues to improve, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the dog and loves his job. Definitely will be back for boarding and any future training.
