Whittier Dog Club - Training & Boarding

Love this place for my dogs and I will continue to recommend this place to all other dog owners! After a free evaluation, they gave me some training tips and some goals. Even with their training tips, I saw such a big difference in my dog's behavior. I then used their boarding as I went on a weekend trip, and my dog seemed to be very happy and they told me he did a lot better! Everyone was friendly and very knowledgable! They gave me some feedback that was personalized for my dog. 100% love this place!

The most incredible team for dog training ☺️ Our dog Mateo has been working and spending time with Chris and his outstanding team for nearly 3 years or so now. After working so hard on his intensive obedience training, Mateo finally had his first flight day yesterday. He did two 1hr flights to and from SF and he did such an incredible job ☺️ he absolutely was super well-behaved and didn’t have a single issue with anything from the time we got into the airport and throughout the entire flight. He was definitely a little nervous at first when we got on the plane (which is normal for anyone’s first time on a plane), but otherwise he behaved so well 15/10 amazingness. He spent the entire day in a very brand new place and brand new facilities (which he had never experienced before) while he did the most fantastic job at listening and responding to all instructions and be behaving entirely as needed for a long travel day. It really would not be possible without Whittier Dog Club and all of the amazing work they have done with him + with training him in so many different scenarios so thank you!!! He’s gonna fly with me next weekend for a much longer flight and we’re hoping he is equally as amazing for that trip. They know exactly how to work with you and your pup to get to where you want and dream of being as a pup/owner duo. Although we didn’t expect a three year relationship to come about (we only signed up for a 6 week program lol) their incredible efforts and genuine care for our dog and his development has lead to them truly becoming like family. Whittier Dog Club is truly Mateo’s second home and family - they care and are the best team for doggy needs.

WDC is fantastic! I am not one to give reviews on, anything. But this review is warranted. We’ve had experience with other dog training places and there is really no comparison. We have an eight month old puppy that had some basics but he really needed the structure that WDC could give him and the results were remarkable after every day of training. We initially took him in for the two week daily training just before we went on a long camping trip and it was perfect timing! His recall, and his reactivity when it came to other dogs and people was vastly improved. I continued what Chris had taught him (and me!) and he was great. We are likely going to bring him back for another two weeks of training. WDC club was referred to me by a trusted friend and local PD K9 officer and I can’t recommend them enough. Chris, Sasha and the crew are FANTASTIC!

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! We sent our dog Bandit to Whittier Dog Club for their 6-week board and train program, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. Before training, Bandit had zero manners—he was reactive, especially around another dog in our home, and it was a daily challenge just managing his behavior. Now, he's a completely different dog. He listens, follows commands, and walks nicely on leash. The biggest breakthrough is how he's learning to coexist peacefully with the other dog in our home. Where there used to be fights and constant tension, there's now calmness and control. We’re able to have both dogs in the same room without stress, and we’re continuing to see progress every day. The team at Whittier Dog Club was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about Bandit’s success. They didn’t just train our dog—they gave us the tools and confidence to maintain his behavior long-term. Highly recommend them to anyone dealing with serious behavior issues or just wanting a better-behaved dog!
