Wholistic Hound Academy is Alexandria, Virginia’s premier award-winning canine training and learning center for people and their dogs. We were voted the Best of NOVA Dog Trainers from the Northern Virginia Magazine and voted Alexandria’s best dog trainers in the Zebra Newspaper Reader’s Choice Award for the past 6 years. Dogs with big feelings class gave us practical training advice to work with our dog. I appreciated that you learned both „“hands on“ in real time at class and had print outs and an online portal to continue learning at home. After the classes, I felt that I had learned great skills and had a better understanding of dogs over all.
Sandy gave me excellent tips to help with a reactive foster dog, helping me understand how to build her confidence and alleviate her and my stress. She gives great tips and techniques that I worked on in the academy and at home.

1000% recommend! The trainers are great, the facility is SPOTLESS and their offerings are varied - sports, puppy classes, obedience - we've done them all! They work overtime to bring out the best in YOU and YOUR DOG, if you're not successful at Wholistic Hound, it's not the trainer or the dog at fault. Some owners expect a quick miracle. Wholistic Hound works in reality. They only engage in positive reinforcement training. All the trainers are dedicated to their craft and are constantly learning and sharing with their clients. Additionally, they are engaged in the community and are very generous to rescues.
Don't waste your time or money. Poor experience interacting with a rude and arrogant trainer who didn't address the problem at hand. I don't know anything about their puppy training or agility, but I don't recommend for any type of behavior training.
