Wild River Kennels

We were highly recommended to Chris, Kiira and their staff through our Curly Coat Retriever Breeder. Upon leaving our 12 month old female with Chris we were only going to do the 4 week training. Upon great communication with Chris he recommended leaving her for 8 weeks to accomplish what we needed in a house pet and hunting dog. We visited her after 4 weeks and were very happy with the improvement in her obedience. We visited again at 6 weeks and Chris was very accommodating. We picked her up at the 8 week mark and she was shot over and retrieving birds. It’s obvious they love what they do at Wild River. This place is very clean and well kept. Sending a dog away for training can be a bit nerve-wracking, but Chris and Kiira at Wild River Kennels made the entire experience so easy and reassuring. Their warmth and passion for what they do shine through in every update and social media post, and it’s clear they treated my dog, Koda like one of their own. The transformation in obedience and retriever work has been incredible, my dog came home not just with sharp skills and a high level of drive, but with a happy, confident attitude that shows just how much care they put into the process. The facility itself is just as impressive as the training. Chris and Kiira keep the kennels spotlessly clean, and their land is a dog’s absolute dream, with the perfect setup for both training and exercise. It’s such a relief to find people who are not only expert trainers but also genuinely kind-hearted people who take pride in their property and the dogs in their care.
