Wilde Acres

I have been looking for a training facility for my dog Scout, who is a 1.5 year old GSP(Lots of Energy). From the start Wilde Acres seemed to be the best fit, as Cam, his trainer was well versed in training that breed. Cam's love for dogs and especially GSP's was apparent, by how excited Scout was to see him after a brief hiatus in the middle of training and how well trained he was after the class. Scout is a completely different Dog because of the dedicated work that Cam put into training him. As opposed to him never listening, he will mostly listen now :). I was very appreciative with how Cam kept me updated throughout the class and would often send photos or videos when he had the time. I felt that Cam took to training Scout, as if it were his own dog and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Cam was also exceptional when it came time to teach me on the proper way of using the commands for Scout. I very confident that the training will carry out for a long time in Scout's daily routines. I was not able to meet the entire staff at Wilde Acres, but the few that I did get to meet were nothing but kind. You can tell they love their jobs and love the Dogs that come through. I will 100% recommend Wilde Acres to anyone else that is looking to train their dogs!

Very poor communication and my dog got both stress colitis and kennel cough while there. Asked for a follow up email when I dropped my dog off to see what her starting weight was and how she settled in the first night. Never got one and when I called a few days later, I was told the trainer wasn't there that day so I couldn't get an update but would get an email the next day. Never got the email. Had to email again a couple days after getting no word and finally I get an update. I'm told that I would get the next update on a specific date. Date comes and goes with again no update on how my dog is doing. I send an email requesting the promised update as well as a call to see what is going on and get a response that I will get a call the next day from the owner. No call from the owner the next day but an email saying that there was a personal issue and that he would call when he's able. Never got any call at all on that day or any day since. Got an email mid week from them saying my dog had stress colitis and had bad diarrhea and some bloody stool and that they would monitor. I request daily updates to make sure she isn't getting worse. The next day I get an email that she has kennel cough and that I should come pick her up as soon as I can. Just picked her up and the staff and owner didn't seem to care at all about any of this. They said they would clear out the kennel and cancel/push back upcoming reservations, hopefully they do so other dogs don't get sick. Just a recounting of events, no embellishments or exaggerations. Very poor experience overall. Edit: Wow, that is the fastest response time yet. To set the record straight, no one was rude or abusive towards your staff. You and your staff were dismissive of my concerns, as you seemingly were throughout my dogs stay. If you cared as much about the owners concerns as you seemingly do your curated reviews, then we would not be here. There was also no insulting your ethics or morals, just a simple observation and question that if easy two way communication was being missed, what else could be going by the way side? I also find it interesting how you completely ignored the part about getting my dog sick, it is keeping in line with how you and your staff have operated the whole time you had my dog. No one expressed any remorse or took any responsibility and this is seemingly continuing. I'm guessing you have not and will not be calling the current and future clients as you stated to me to make sure whatever caused my dog to become ill, doesn't spread. That's a shame and I hope the other dogs in your supposed care don't get sick as well. Cheers.

Bayley was there for board and train for 2 weeks. Before she pulled horribly on the leash and walks were nearly impossible because of how bad she pulled. After 2 weeks at Wilde Acres our walks are night and day difference!! 10/10. When you pick up your dog you get a 1.5 hour training session to go over everything and throughout Bayleys stay they posted progress pictures/videos on their instagram. Highly recommend and worth every penny!
