Winds of Change Dog Training

Dani from Winds of Change dog training worked miracles with my 1.5 yr old Australian cattle dog. Beetle went to her for issues with nipping (and one biting incident) at kids, sometimes adults, barking, jumping, no recall, extreme nervousness, and more. After we picked him up from the 2 week board and train he is clearly so much calmer and more confident, has instant recall, and was allowing strangers (kids and adults) to give him treats, and sitting with and without being asked, when we took him to a dog friendly store. I highly recommend Dani with any of your pup needs!

Dani is WONDERFUL with dogs. She had our miniature Goldendoodle, Ellie, at her place for a week. Ellie learned boundaries and appropriate responses for resource guarding and being a bully. She learned how to be a member of a dog pack and she reduced some of her anxiety. Dani was great through it all keeping us up to date on progress and how we were going to handle situations at home. Dani also spent a few hours with us to train us and demonstrate to us how to implement all of the strategies and techniques. I recommend Winds of Change to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring trainer!

Our family has adopted 2 different dogs that whose lives were quite literally saved by Dani at Winds of Change. Both dogs were in desperate need of homes and both were discovered to have behavioral issues once they got here into our home. Thor, a 2-year old Boston Terrier, went after my young nephew when he walked in our door. We were not informed that he had any issues with children. We had no idea what to do and were afraid we'd have to return him to being in foster care. After 6 weeks of classes at Winds of Change and a lifetime of education for our family, Thor's behavioral issues have disappeared. My nephew is here quite often with no worries that Thor will not behave. Now we've recently adopted Zimmie - an 8-year old Boston Terrier. We had a meet and greet with our other dogs at the SPCA which, to us, went well. It turns out what looked like Zimmie wanted to play with our large dog Angus was actually him lunging in attack mode. Two hours after entering our home he was hanging off Angus's neck biting him. We immediately contact Winds of Change and Dani provided immediate instructions for keeping both dogs safe. Another training class to refresh us on how to handle the situation and the beginning of Zimmie's understanding of who is pack leader and who's at the back of the pack. While Zimmie's progress is still ongoing, he and Angus are able to be in the same room together safely. Winds of Change is solely responsible for giving both Thor and Zimmie permanent homes. Without Winds of Change I can only imagine the outcome for these two boys.
