FirstBarkWorking with Steve has been wonderful for our 2 year old Golden Retriever and our family. He does a great job engaging her and teaching our two young daughters how to handle her. We are all learning so much and it has been such a positive experience. We highly recommend!

About Winschelhaus Dog Training, LLC
As German dog enthusiasts/trainers for the past 27 years, our family made a commitment to contribute in a positive way to the K-9 community. We bred two of our German Shepherds and donated the majority of the puppies to first responders in the CNY area. This was followed by pursuing our passion for dogs further and establishing our dog training business, Winschelhaus Dog Training, LLC located in Manlius, New York. We welcome all breeds as well as rescues. We provide in depth individual training sessions for you and your dog to foster a trusting bond between dog and handler. We specialize in obedience training and misbehavior correction by helping you set clear expectations for your dog and rewarding them for their positive behavior.

The Winschelhaus dog training is superior. We purchased our BFF aka Luna from Steve 4years ago and our experience has been nothing but the absolute best. From day one Steve has made himself available for some of his professional training. Luna has become a blessing as a family loving and caring member and protector of my domain. No true words can articulate our true feelings for the gift Steve and his family has given us 4 years ago. Under Steve’s training and guidance I have well trained and reliable and responsive friend. Steve has also boarded Luna every year while we are on family vacation and I trust no other. Thanks again Steve, for all you do.
Steve is very good at working with you as you train your dog. He makes it so easy to teach and train your dog in what seems like a very short time. Highly recommend Steve.

We took our 4 year old dog to Steve for 10 sessions of training. More importantly, we took ourselves, as is it the owners who really require it! Steve was very professional, positive and flexible in his approach - sometimes he came to my office, which was very helpful, and also took us on walks in town. His one-on-one training sessions, while more expensive, were much more effective than the group approach we took with a previous dog. He is always available for questions, and is very honest about the time commitment it takes to train both between sessions and for months after the sessions end. As he says, you have to practice, practice, practice!
Steve has worked wonders with my boy, Duke. In just a few weeks he has taught us so much. He is thorough and explains why we do the things we do when training. Highly recommend.
