Positive Reinforcement & How We Train
Our training program is based on the effective and scientifically-proven positive reinforcement method. This means we use food, play, clickers, and life rewards (we like to say that positive isn’t permissive!), which is just as important as what we don’t use: side-effect-causing punishment methods.
We will help you reach your goals faster and more efficiently through our wide variety of group classes and private instruction with flexible scheduling! We train in-home, on-location and at our 12,000 sq ft dedicated facility.

We have given it very careful consideration, and because we are 100% committed to serving our community with the highest quality training, we are no longer accommodating board and train requests. Although the consultation session was scheduled for one hour, Jen spent almost 90 minutes with us while we discussed Peg's challenges and the various ways we can teach her to rise about those challenges. Jen's attitude was positive, she was knowledgeable, informative, and sympathetic to Peg's issues. Jen clearly loves dogs and wants what is best for them. She did not sugarcoat the fact the it will take a lot of work with Peg to teach her new habits, but emphasized that the work will be worth it. I am relieved we found Jen and Wonder Dogs.

Classes at Wonder Dogs have been instrumental in our puppy's success! We've done private lessons with Jenn as well and almost immediately saw changes in our puppy's behavior and emotional regulation. We've been given great tools and strategies tailored to our puppy's needs and development. I am not sure we could have thrived so well without Wonder Dogs!

Wonderdogs has been an amazing resource with training my ES puppy! We've done one private lesson and I've already seen many improvements with his anxiety and emotional regulation. Before our lesson, I couldn't possibly google anymore questions and Jenn came to the rescue when I was feeling weary. We're enrolled in Puppy 2 class and I'm looking forward to it! The staff at Wonderdogs are highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable professionals. I had never had a puppy, and had no experience with anxious dogs. Jen, Lisa, and the entire Wonderdogs team have helped our puppy and our family learn how to understand and support each other. At one point, my puppy's anxiety regularly came out as biting, and I worried that we wouldn't be able to keep him. It has been a lot of work . . . But so worth it to see our pup grow into a more calm, confident, and happy member of our family.
