Wonder Puppy

Wonder Puppy is a great place to start off with your new addition. Early socialization is a huge priority for young puppies as this will set the foundation for them for the rest of their lives. This is not my first dog and I can honestly say Wonder Puppy had the best puppy-social classes I have ever been to. Being able to be an active part of the process was valuable to me because I was able to get to know my puppy, her play style, what she needs to work on and how to do it. It was a safe, fun environment with lots of guidance and thought put into each session. No two sessions were the same and my puppy and I were able to interact with a wide range of other puppies of different temperaments, play styles, shapes and sizes. All of the trainers were knowledgeable and fun to work with. Wonder Puppy also has a range of training classes that can help guide you and your puppy in the right direction. Raising a puppy can be a whirlwind experience and it is over before you know it. Make sure to make that time count! Thank you, Wonder Puppy, for the fun memories and the confident, social butterfly of a young dog I now have.

We just finished the Good Puppy series and it was worth every penny! The instructor Katie was amazing! She was so kind, patient, and met everyone where they were. It was invaluable to develop a way to communicate and bond with our puppy. We also did several of the social classes and my puppy has a blast there! Overall, it's been such a great experience that we're going to keep it going with the Great Puppy skills class next.

Our vet recommended Wonder Puppy and we are so grateful she did. Puppy Social classes have been an amazing environment for our new puppy to gain confidence and meet other dogs. It’s also been such a game changer for me - I am learning the skills I never knew I needed to be an advocate for my dog and her relationship with other dogs. As recent migrants to Portland, we don’t know many puppies to socialize ours with, but once I came to this class, I realized it was just as much about learning how to socialize a puppy so they can explore their world fear-free than it is just meeting other puppies. Our puppy social experience was so great that we ended up signing up for the good puppy classes. Once again, this is arguably even more valuable for my husband and I than it is our puppy because we’re really learning the skills beyond basic “cues” that lead to success with our dog. The volume of resources Terri provides to her students to leverage outside of class has allowed us to dig into areas we were struggling with and have actionable steps we can take to build better habits for our pup and prevent unwanted behaviors before they become habits. Our time at Wonder Puppy always ends up being a highlight in my day, and I’m very grateful to all the amazing people here who have helped us better understand and connect with our puppy.
