Woodland Kennel is truly one of a kind. From the very beginning, Dana and Geoff made us feel like part of their family. The weekly updates and photos they sent between birth and bring-home day became the highlight of our week. My husband and I would actually save them to open together at dinner, a little ritual we looked forward to every single week. Those updates gave us a window into Clinton's earliest weeks of life, and that connection meant everything. Clinton is our now, 6 month old Chocolate Labrador! When it came time to bring him home, we felt genuinely prepared. The guidance and information they provided set us up for success right from day one. And their support didn't stop at the door. Dana and Geoff kept the lines of communication open after bring-home day, so we never felt alone navigating those first weeks of puppy parenthood. Their professionalism and depth of knowledge as breeders is evident, but what truly sets Woodland Kennel apart is the heart behind it all. On the day we were scheduled to pick Clinton up, an hour before our timeslot, I received the devastating news that my grandmother had passed away unexpectedly. With a wake and funeral in the days that followed, our entire family would need to be present, and we suddenly found ourselves as brand-new puppy parents with an 8-week-old and no one we trusted to care for him during the services. We called Dana and Geoff right away, and without a moment's hesitation, they welcomed Clinton back for the day. They sent us photos throughout. Clinton playing with other dogs, exploring toys, happy and loved! Because of them, we were able to grieve and be fully present with our family, knowing our boy was in the best possible hands. That moment says everything about who Dana and Geoff are. Woodland Kennel isn't just a breeder.. it's a family, and they treat every puppy and every family as their own. We are so grateful, and we could not recommend them more highly!

Hello my name is Chris, I called Woodland Kennel to see if they had puppies for my first very own hunting Dog! I patiently waited until I got the call that my puppy was eager to meet me. When I talked to Geoff, I told him that I was gonna do my own training. I stubbornly tried, but found out very quick that I in fact was no trainer at all and almost ruined the dog when I finally gave in I called Geoff, he told me to come up so he can see the dog. Without hesitation he offered a spot in his kennel and said he will take him immediately. Not only did he train my dog, Geoff turned him into an absolute stud of a retriever. The obedience and drive in the animal is stunning. I couldn’t be more pleased with how the dog turned out. Geoff is an absolute AMAZING trainer and the whole Woodland Kennel team is amazing as well. I could never thank them enough for what they did for me and my dog. Thank you Geoff!!

Geoffrey and his family have an absolute love for ethical breeding and training field dogs. So far I have experienced just the basic obedience and it’s amazing to see the work they put in. To have in-depth videos / training guides specific to your dog is amazing. having a young puppy (6months) walking next to you in a big box store with a loose leash and fully attentive to you is wonderful. As long as you put the effort into training once they are home that Geoffrey engraved in them it will leave you with skills that last a lifetime. They come home with the same personality just disciplined and eager to work.Can’t wait for the next phase of bird training.

We got our pup bojack from woodland about a year ago & we are so happy we did. Geoffrey & his wife were so welcoming & It was such a great experience meeting bojack and getting to take him home. The housebreaking course as well helped so much as we were new puppy parents at the time. Geoffrey Is quick to contact and ask questions to which was important. Now, We are Thinking of getting him a sibling And right away, we knew exactly where we were getting him from- which again, was a quick contact to inquire. We are so excited to get bojack a sibling
