Word of Mouth Dog Training

In March 2025, our family embarked on a 21-day international trip and required a boarding facility for our 2.5-year-old whoodle, Rosie. We wanted not just boarding but also a training program to help with her anxiety and behavioral issues. After researching options near Arvada, we interviewed two programs, including Word of Mouth Dog Training. From our first meeting, Jose was warm and welcoming, inviting us to his home where he runs the training program. Rosie came in wearing a muzzle and taking two anxiety medications, and we shared that she’d already worked with four other trainers since she was 10 weeks old. Jose would be her fifth trainer. He answered every question, even our 7-year-old son’s, and showed us his remodeled garage set up comfortably for the dogs, along with a large backyard for exercise and group classes. Though we were nervous about leaving Rosie for 28 days with minimal contact, Jose reassured us by explaining his approach in detail and promising to work on her anxiety, leash aggression, car ride fear, and reactivity to bikes. While we were away, he responded promptly to my texts and eased our worries. When we returned, Rosie had learned so much and no longer needed her anxiety medication at all. Since then, she’s been able to attend every one of our son’s soccer and football games and even came camping with us. These are things we never imagined possible. We continue to go to group classes so Jose can help us build on Rosie’s progress, and she now boards with him whenever we travel. The best part is seeing how much Rosie adores Jose and how much he genuinely cares for her in return. Jose runs Word of Mouth Dog Training like a family, and that warmth extends to every staff member. Whenever we return for group sessions, it’s heartwarming to see the trainers remember and welcome Rosie back. Jose is incredible, and I would highly recommend him to any family looking to train their dog into the happy, balanced family member they’ve always dreamed of.

Word of Mouth Dig training is AMAZING! Could not more highly recommend Jose, his staff, and his program. After 3 weeks my St. Bernardadoodle was the best behaved dog I’ve ever owned. It is clear that Jose and his team have a passion for their work and the results speak for themselves. My boy Indy is such a treat to walk since his training and he absolutely loves going back to WOMDT for tune ups. If you are looking for a trainer, WOMDT is the only option.

Jose is an amazing trainer and I am incredibly impressed with Word of Mouth Dog Training. My dog was having serious issues with crate training and I was afraid that I would have to surrender him. Jose gave me the skills and resources I needed to help fix the problems, in only one session. After my training session, he continued to communicate with me via text to answer questions and offer support, going above and beyond. I have scheduled additional sessions with Jose to work on other training needs for my dog, but I am blown away by what Jose was able to do in a single hour. I’ve been training my 7-8-year-old rescue dog, May, with Jose and his team for the past few weeks, and the experience has been amazing. May has become much calmer, more social, and has made incredible progress with commands in just two group classes and a house call. The training has taught me so much about communicating with her effectively, and I’m so grateful for the transformation we’ve seen.
