We were extremely happy with Jonathan and the training he provided for Toby. I truly felt that he went above and beyond what we expected. Toby was only about 3½ months old when he started training with Jonathan. After spending four weeks with him, Toby came home noticeably better behaved and much more responsive to commands. One thing that especially impressed us was that Jonathan taught Toby the “Let’s go” command, which gets Toby to stop what he is doing, leave an area, and follow us. We use it to keep him out of the kitchen, and it works extremely well. When Jonathan brought Toby home, he spent a couple of hours with my wife going over everything Toby had learned and showing her how to reinforce the training at home. We really appreciated the time he took to make sure we understood how to continue working with Toby. Jonathan clearly cares about the dogs he works with and puts a great deal of time and effort into their training. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated dog trainer.

If you are looking for a trainer who truly understands the heart of a dog, I cannot recommend Young's Dog Training enough. We sent our rescue puppy to him for a board and train program because we were struggling with some difficult behaviors like resource guarding, fear of other dogs, and a habit of stealing items around the house. With three kids at home, we needed a solution that was safe and strictly focused on positive reinforcement. Jonathan delivered exactly that. He does not use shock collars or harsh corrections, which was a non-negotiable for our family. In my experience, Jonathan was more focused on the training itself than on the digital side of things, which I appreciated. We got a few communications (pictures/texts) throughout our dog's training, and the results spoke for themselves. It was clear his attention was entirely on our dog's progress. Our puppy is a far better dog since he came home. We can clearly see the progress and the positive changes in his temperament. Most importantly, one of our children who was a little fearful of the dog is no longer so, and they get along beautifully now. We could not be more thankful for the peace this has brought to our home. What really sets Jonathan apart is the time he spent with us. At the end of the program, he spent hours patiently teaching our whole family how to handle our dog to best maintain everything he had learned. He did not just "fix" the dog; he trained us to be better owners so the transition back into our house was smooth. He had also reached out via text in the weeks and months since our dog's training and held one follow up appointment to see how our puppy is retaining what he learned (and give us some pointers). I also have to mention the kind of person Jonathan is. While our dog was in his care, we had a serious illness in the family. Jonathan was incredibly caring and professional, allowing us to extend our time with him to ease our burden during a very difficult month. He truly went above and beyond when we needed it most. We have already booked him again for a future vacation, and plan to for training refreshers as well.

Jonathan is really helpful and professional. He is the expert of the dog training and behaviors. We worked with him for my 4YO goldendoodle's dog-dog reaction and loose-leash walking. The results turned out very good especially when training an adult dog is harder than the puppy training. The most important thing is my dog adores him! He followed up with us even after we completed the training packages. I highly recommend him!
