Same dog owner as the comment below: Two main issues with this service - (1) irresponsible optimism, and (ii) lack of communication. With respect to (1) - yes, while we were told during the initial kick-off call that there is no way to guarantee that our dog would be able to complete training within the first fifteen sessions, we were expressly told that it is likely that the service provider would "feel comfortable" to provide the relevant certification after the first fifteen sessions. Our experience as described in (1), on a standalone basis, is not an issue. Things happen. There are contingencies beyond our control. I agree. However, the (2) issue of lack of communication aggravated the situation. We were not communicated that our dog is far from obtaining certification until only a few training sessions were left. Had we been informed in advance that due to unexpected contingencies, the dog would require additional trainings, we would have accepted the situation and would have been content. When the communication was finally made to us, we were told that even an extra 15 sessions would not guarantee the result - which was diametrically-opposed from the initial assessment that it is likely that the service provider would "feel comfortable" to provide the requisite certification after the first 15 sessions. Again, the results being dramatically different is fine - things happen. However, if there were signs during the process of training that such dramatically-different results would occur - we should have been informed way earlier in the process. The individual trainer who was assigned to us was lovely and showed great affection and passion towards our dog. We are grateful for her assistance.

Yuri is a certified trainer with a strong background in animal behavior. She has been working, once a week, for the three weeks now with my one year old adoptee who is a "free range" 😉 golden doodle. She has helped me with basic training methods, all based on positive reinforcement - which have made an enormous difference in my puppy's behavior. She has helped Molly make significant behavioral progress and has helped me learn what to expect as Molly settles in. Yuri is entirely professional, competent, patient and a lovely individual. Yuri is an exceptional dog trainer. I was at my wits end with my reactive, aggressive dog before we started training regularly. Yuris deep understanding of dog behavior especially helped work on my dogs behavior on walks and when strangers are in the apartment. She equipped us with practical tools and strategies that have had a positive impact years later. Her training is effective and life-changing. I’m forever grateful for her help!

Yuri is an amazing dog trainer. She has a 6th and 7th sense about my puppy. She seems to k ow just what he is thinking and even where in the process his alimentary canal is. Which is very helpful potty training a puppy. She can deconstruct any behavior to make is doable for my pup. And she even knows when to say “Every puppy has an off day.” So I don’t feel discouraged! Yuri is a big help to me with my puppy!!!

As a first-time dog owner and mother of a Golden Retrieved puppy Yuruani Olguin was wonderful and did an excellent job guiding me from potty training and house rules to obedience and walk on the lease with my very playful full-of-energy puppy. Her experience and commitment to working with dog parents and first-time dog owners helped us to manage the very complicated city life and preventing me from making unnecessary mistakes.
