For the past month, my dog Gemmie was part of Zack’s board and train program, and the results have honestly been life changing. Gemmie is a rescue pittie mix who was found as a pregnant stray, went through foster care, had her puppies, and then eventually became part of my family. She has always been incredibly sweet and loving, but she had absolutely no manners, little structure, and because she is such a strong, intelligent, and willful dog, I knew she needed professional guidance beyond what I could provide on my own. From the very beginning, Zack was patient, professional, caring, and deeply invested in Gemmie’s success. What impressed me most was that he didn’t just train my dog — he trained me too. Throughout the program, Zack did in-home sessions with me to teach me how to properly communicate with Gemmie, reinforce her training, and understand her behavior. His methods are clear, balanced, compassionate, and incredibly effective. Today was Gemmie’s first day back home, and I honestly feel like I brought home a completely different dog. She is calm, confident, mannered, attentive, and HAPPY. She now heels beautifully, sits, stays, comes when called, understands “no,” and listens consistently. The leash pulling is gone. The digging under the fence is gone. Chasing squirrels and reacting to other dogs is gone. Even more amazing is how socialized and confident she has become. She now does fantastic off leash at the park, loves playing fetch, and has become incredible around other dogs. Watching her run, play, and even swim confidently at the dog beach has been amazing to see. To say Zack changed Gemmie’s life — and mine — would not be an exaggeration. Beyond being an exceptional trainer, Zack is simply an amazing human being. He genuinely loves these dogs, treats them like family, and pours his heart into what he does. You can see the care, consistency, structure, and dedication in every part of his program. I trusted Zack with one of the most important parts of my life, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Gemmie is now the best version of herself, and I finally have the tools and confidence to continue giving her the amazing life she deserves. We just completed Zack’s board-and-train program for our 5-year-old Goldendoodle, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s hard to fully express how impressed we are with Zack’s process, professionalism, dedication, and clear expertise. Before training, our dog was extremely excitable around people and other dogs—often barking loudly, jumping, and completely ignoring our commands. After five years, we weren’t sure those habits could be changed, but Zack has truly worked wonders. The difference is remarkable. From the start, Zack took the time to come to our home twice to evaluate our dog, explain his approach, and patiently answer all of our questions. That gave us a great level of comfort before the program even began. Once training started, Zack set up a shared photo gallery and provided daily updates with instructional videos and pictures. This allowed us to learn alongside our dog, which made a huge difference. We also had a couple of meet-ups during the program, so we could begin practicing before bringing our pup home. We have our first follow-up session later this week and are looking forward to Zack’s feedback and any adjustments we can make to continue building on this progress. I first reached out to Zack for behavior training with my Labradoodle Jonie, as she was not listening to us in the house and outside, pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, and nipping all of us in the house. We chose Zack’s board and train program as we heard great things about it from our friends and I have to say it was well worth it Jonie knows how a greet people now, she’s still excited but doesn’t jump or do any of the behaviors we didn’t want she walks nicely on the leash and is even trained off-leash.
