ZenDog

Our family adopted a dog recently and it quickly became apparent that she was in need of professional training. At 4-5 years of age she had already had multiple owners, and we were her 4th owners that we know of. Molly is a very friendly dog, but seems to have had no training at all and couldn't even be walked on a leash. She was hyperactive, totally unable to focus, and a constant whirlwind of uncontrollable boundless energy. She was far beyond the training ability of regular pet owners, so we consulted Ally Locklin, owner of Zendog. Luckily for us, after an at-home evaluation of Molly, Ally was willing to take her on for training. Grace Judice is the trainer who took on the task of training Molly, and the results that she obtained are much more than we could have hoped for. Her extensive training skills produced a dog that can focus, can be walked on a loose leash, obeys multiple commands including "here, sit, down, stay, place, wait", and more and she achieved all of this without breaking Molly's happy spirit. She also patiently spent a great deal of time teaching us how to maintain the skills that she had taught to Molly. It was a pleasure to see how much Grace enjoys training, and to see how proud she was of Molly with each skill that she learned. It was not a cookie-cutter program, but Grace concentrated on Molly as an individual and was quick to modify her training to fit Molly's specific needs when a different approach was needed. Every person who we encountered at Zendog was friendly, patient and helpful, and I am happy to enthusiastically recommend them to anyone with a dog in need of training.
