Zoom Room Dog Training

For six months I have been singing the praises of Zoom Rooml, for its dog classes of all ages, activities, and goals and also because they held a variety of good-for-dog treats and vetted educational toys. The store was well stocked, kept clean, neat, and orderly. Classes ran on time with instructors in place. In particular I lay the credit of this well managed store to the person that I observed carrying items to and fro, stacking shelves, doing laundry, and coaching younger trainers, Courtney Briggs. I came to Zoom Room with my 13 week old unsocialized and only-pup-in-the-litter toy poodle. Zara was afraid of other dogs and people. From the first day in Puppy Preschool, Courtney (a seasoned canine trainer with 20+ years experience (and who has set up numerous Zoom Room franchises across the country) made sure that Zara felt safe in her surroundings. With time, patience, and private sessions, Zara began to build self confidence and trust in another human besides me. Recently, during a chaotic playgroup, she even ran to Courtney as her safe person. Folks in my neighborhood and beach regulars, would comment on Zara’s progress. I was looking forward to Zara’s future with Zoom Room and C Briggs for continued growth and perhaps striving toward the CGC. (Canine Good Citizen). In early September, we received communication that C Briggs would no longer be a trainer at Zoom Room. Effective that day. The store may be closed for a month, a long time in a puppy’s developmental growth. After months of work with Courtney, effort at home, and financial outlay, we were given abrupt notice. I have no intention to build a new bond with a trainer of considerably less knowledge and professional experience than Courtney Briggs. This is quite a setback. While they resolved paid packages respectfully and to my satisfaction, I feel the options of trainers I am left with are incomparable. Because of this, I cannot recommend ZoomRoom for dogs and dog lovers.

We brought in our shy puppy to help her gain confidence and overcome her anxiety that our vet told us would only be helped with medication. Our first 1-1 visit, our puppy spent the whole visit hiding behind me, but by the end of the very next one, she was doing agility work and LOVING every single second. You can tell that Courtney knows how to bring out the best in each individual dog, and I cannot recommend Zoom Room enough. It’s made a world of difference for our girl, and I can’t wait to see how she does at the next stage when we enroll her in the group classes!

My cockapoo puppy Rose has been going to the Zoom Room since she was 8 weeks old, and I am really happy with her progress so far! Courtney, Meg and the rest of the team are experienced, knowledgeable, kind and make training fun! Their training style is based on positive reinforcement and their suggestions enable me to continue at home training between classes. Most importantly, Rose and I look forward to every class (especially agility.) I highly recommend you check out their extensive schedule of classes and give them a try... you won't be disappointed!
