Zoom Room Dog Training

My pup and I had a less than ideal experience here. I wish I had spent my money on a more 1:1 trainer. The classes are okay, good for basics, but we had different trainers sometimes and they would teach almost opposite on some skills. During playtime at the end, my boy would often get kicked out early because he was bigger than the other puppies, despite never showing signs of aggression. The final class we attended, the trainer had her friend attending the class and it was very clear they were buddies. This made us feel like we weren't getting the attention we were paying for. My golden retriever pup was sent home early from playtime again, without even a chance, because the trainers friend was a service dog in training and "not allowed to have any negative experiences." Again, my puppy was never given a chance. Instead, the service dog in training puppy and the other smaller puppy in the class got to play together... I can teach my dog these skills in our home, for free, but a big selling point for us with Zoom Room was the socialization aspect and learning to play with other dogs. In summary, it was okay. Not worth the money though. Especially since our classes varied greatly depending on who the trainer was that day. I'd recommend teaching passive socialization in public areas, such as Lowes or a park, and find another outlet for playtime. He now attends Bark doggy daycare, where he gets plenty of playtime. They often compliment his ability to play well with every dog.
