A Bark Idea

If you’re searching for the best doggie daycare or boarding in LA, look no further! Last year, we had a dreadful experience with a lady named Jill Gasparac. Our 8-month-old pup was involved in a terrible accident while boarding with her. Thankfully, (and after $5000 in vet fees) our pup is now fine. I was extremely traumatized, but Cami patiently guided me through the process. We started with daycare, and our pup had such a great time that she fell asleep in the car on the way home - which is unknown territory for a doodle owner. Already on her second visit, she eagerly pulled me to the entrance and went wild with excitement upon seeing Cami and Kelsey. This reaction filled me with joy, knowing she was in a safe and fun environment. Cami, Kelsey, Amanda and their entire team are wonderful, you can tell that the love for dogs is genuine. They make sure all dogs feel safe and in a home-like environment. During our two-week vacation, our girl stayed with them, and we received daily updates. We chose half boarding and half board-and-train, and we were amazed to see our girl walking like a champ. Despite spending a lot on private training at Zoom Room, the difference was remarkable. We finally have a dog (18 months) who walkes perfectly with no pulling and minimal-to-no leash-reactivity. I’m thrilled to have found a place we can rely on, and most importantly, our dog loves it there. If I could, I’d give them 10 stars. Thank you for having us; we love you guys!

This place is gold. Kelsey and Cami (and Justin and literally all of their staff) are amazing. So knowledgeable and kind - their positive reinforcement training approach really works. I have a super high energy puppy that I really struggled with - a GSP/Weimaraner/Doberman mix - he has a mind of his own and more energy than a toddler on a sugar high. I had *almost* given up hope when I started him here for training. They have worked with me (and him) to get to a place where I can actually enjoy him. No more stressful days thinking “what do I even do with him?” He’s been with them for training, daycare and some boarding since February and the difference is quite literally night and day. He is such a gentleman now. They are phenomenal. He is always SO happy to see his friends there, he can’t get out of the car fast enough! I tried another well known, local training place first and that was a huge mistake. I tell everyone I know…start here!!!! You will NOT be disappointed!

I could not love A bark Idea more. We have done a few stay including board and train the first time. The team did such a great job with our puppy that our family joked that they gave us back the wrong puppy because this one was so well behaved. It gives me peace of mind and calms my guilt of leaving our dog know that she’s being very well taken care and is so happy at A Bark Idea. I love the daily photo updates and seeing my dog so happy with all her friends at A Bark Idea. There is no other place I would trust to care for our dog.
