A Leg Up K9

Jake is extremely knowledgeable and effective with his training techniques. He understands how the dogs think and explains them in such a way that makes total sense. There wasnt any situation that he couldn’t answer with a solution and reason of why the problem existed. He was very responsive to us when we reached out with additional questions or issues that came up. Covi was a stray we adopted a couple months ago. He had been running wild for at least a few weeks. He was sweet and loved playing with other dogs and kids, however, he had no concept of discipline whatsoever. Jumped all over furniture, chewed up everything and ran the neighborhood. Now, we can let him outside with no lash and he stays in the yard. He doesn’t jump on furniture anymore, walks calmly next to our sides and listens when given commands. This was money well spent and totally with it!

Enough can’t be said about “A Leg Up K9.” From day one through the whole process Jake has been exceptional. We had just had a child and our dog was so bad, we thought we were going to have to give him to a shelter. He would counter surf, bark all of the time, tried jumping up and grabbing our newborn out of our arms. We were beside ourself....until we found A Leg Up K9. I talked to Jake in the phone explaining the situation. He was kind enough to let us board our dog a few days early due to our circumstances and when his next available opening was. So that’s how it all started...now to the end. We got Charley back and he did a 360. He no longer counter surfed, hasn’t tried to grab our newborn, he is continually getting better and better as we continue to build off the training. I can’t get Jake enough compliments for how much he helped us, from having to almost get rid of Charley to being able to take him to Home Depot and being able to do off leash walks without any worry. Jake will bring out the best in your dog....we can’t recommend enough....

Took my 14 month old pit to Jake. He's always friendly he just had bad aggression towards other dogs with food and toys. Not only did he help correct this issue he also made everyday house life so much easier. From crate training. And being able to have anyone come in and not feel overwhelmed with my dog jumping up on them. Most important thing I can say is, Jake will do his job for sure. But the other half of seeing results is listening to the lessons he provides.
