A Leg Up K9

A Leg Up was our first and only choice for training for our Can Corso. Jake previously worked with my lab 5 years ago and when we got our pup I knew immediately that Jake would have him for his 3 week board and train program. Pharaoh was a biter. Not aggressively biting, but puppy biting, trying to show dominance as his breed often does, not leash training and jumping on people prior to us going to Jake. Now, Pharaoh will not even open his mouth to bite, he doesn’t jump, stays in place for hours at a time, walks OFF LEASH with us wherever we go, plays well with other dogs, and know his place in our home. Jake truly has done wonders with Pharaoh and we can now enjoy our dog the rest of his life without the headache of those annoying behaviors that can make owning a dog less desirable. Jake was always extremely detailed about the training process and throughout the go home lessons that we received after his training. Anytime I would text or call to check on pharaoh he would answer right away and give me any updates. If I have Problems or questions that may arise - he is a phone call or text away and full of information, tips or tricks. A Leg Up K-9 is truly the only option for our family as long as we own a dog. Jakes knowledge and professionalism is second to none. We appreciate him more than he will ever realize and will continue to sing his praises to anyone and everyone that needs training for the pup!

We took our unruly, putting it nicely, black lab to A Leg Up K9 for a 3 week training course. The difference is amazing. Prior to training, we could not get Quinton to listen to us. He was always so hyper. Now he is beautiful in the house. Outside, he was a menace. Our neighbors have all commented on the change. They could not believe what a gentleman he has become. The best part is the trainer Jake. He doesn’t just train the dog, but goes the extra step and helps us to reinforce the training for Quinton. And he does it in stages so we can remember. I knew that Quinton would be a challenge and wondered if anyone could train him. So if you have an ‘unruly’ dog that needs training. A Leg Up K9 is definitely the place.

Jake did an awesome job helping out our one-year-old Doberman and us! We were at our wits end having to deal with four little kids and an untrained dog. Jake was able to set the stage perfectly for us so that we could continue his tremendous work at home! Jake is wonderful to work with and very easy to get a hold of if I was having questions with training afterwards. I would highly, highly recommend his services for anyone who is wanting that wonderful relationship between dog and owner!
