FirstBarkWe took our male mixed Boxer to be trained. Jake was able to explain to us how a dog thinks and how we need to change how we think and do to get him to respond. We brought in an unruly dog and came home with a well trained dog. We continue to train and meet with Jake for further training for us. Was well worth the money spent. We are all much happier.

She went from an annoying nervous dog that barked and jumped on everything to an enjoyable dog that still has her playful personality. Jake’s approach is simple and consistent with just a few commands to learn. His in-class sessions teach you everything you need to retain the training at home. Would highly recommend Jake and his top-notch service.
Jake is an awesome trainer. Very knowledgeable and responsive to questions. Our husky was very hyper and didn’t listen well. With Jake’s training and instruction, she now listens very well and is so much more pleasant. Highly recommended!!
Five years ago we sent our American Standard Poodle Phoebe, for 4 weeks training with Jake. It was the best decision we've ever made. She is the most well trained pet we have ever had. I am so pleased with the results after sending my 6 month old Golden Retriever, Cash, to Jake for the 3 week off leash program! Prior to training we had a hard time controlling Cash, especially around our senior dog. Now we’re able to take him on walks without him dragging us down the sidewalk, he no longer jumps up on furniture, play biting our hands/clothes has completely stopped, he doesn’t bother the other dog anymore, and we’re able to enjoy his personality so much more while having control both outside and inside the house. This is not a 2 or 3 week automatic “fix” - meaning that Jake sends your dog home equipped with all the knowledge from training, but there is practice and work to be done with you and your dog when they get home so they don’t slip back into old habits. Follow ups after training have been easy to schedule and extremely helpful. 100% worth it!
