Thank you so much for your review Angie. Dexter and both you and your partner were very nice to deal with. We treasure when someone brings us a genetically sound dog that we can build into being their best friend and family member. Six out of 10 dogs we get for training have issues with their nerves to varying degrees. Dexter was fabulous in his temperament and nerves. We take a lot of pride in what we do. And we really appreciate you giving us that opportunity to again be a success. We are there for you for the life of your dog. All you have to do is call us with any questions or issues, we care. I really appreciated your honesty when I asked you how you felt when I corrected Woody for threatening to bite me when he was in your lap."I felt like punching you in the nise." There's nothing better than honesty, which I really appreciated! It's important for me to know how people feel about their dogs. If I didn't correct him, the behavior would have ballooned going forward. If he exhibits that type of behavior at anytime going forward, it is your responsibility to do the same with appropriately proportional corrections to keep that behavior in check. He was a handful but the end result really overjoyed us and reinforced why we do what we do. Thank you for the opportunity. Best wishes going forward, and we love when he comes back to board.

Yes, Sandy was told that Sasha had genetically weak nerves and needed medicinal intervention of Prozac. This determination came from decades of dealing with dogs that have genetically weak nerves which happens when the parents of the dog in question should never had been bred as they certainly exhibited the symptoms of said malady. Unfortunately, people breed dogs based upon how good they look and not whether they are genetically sound in their nerves and bone structure. We have seen this malady all too often and have dedicated a page on our website that addresses these dogs whom suffer. www.acak9.com/special-needs-dogs It was immediately apparent with Sasha of the underlying issues of her nerves and Sandy was told such. Sasha was not your average dog. She exhibited a lot of avoidance behavior. This type of dog is what you get from your typical puppy mills that only breed for the money, and not the genetics. There was no failure on our part training Sasha. It was a failure on the part of Sandy not communicating with us. We care about every dog we train and we would like to see the clients get what they pay for, otherwise, why do we do what we do? We do not routinely solicit Google Reviews. We had a little bit of time to go through as many as 39 folders of dogs we trained and sent off a mass email with the Google Review link. I was shocked to see what Sandy posted! Why was I shocked? Sandy had not communicated with us at all about being dissatisfied. Even after I saw the negative review, I left a message for Sandy, and Sandy did not call me back. Nobody in business likes a negative Google review, but I will live with this. I would have considered some type of negotiation but without communication, how can anyone negotiate a settlement? His dog learned three languages? Sasha was incapable of functioning as a normal dog outside of it's home environment. Protection training???? Impossible for a dog with genetically weak nerves. I am not in business to take people's money and not meet their expectations. "I will say this about Jim, he’s kind and loves the dogs. I just didn’t feel he put the time into training my dog as he had said. It was a waste of nearly $5,000." Oh yes, we put in the time without doubt! At least I got some kudos, thank you Sandy. I cannot make everyone happy in this world, that's a given. But I cannot make those who do not communicate happy. "I left her in the care of Jim for a month for training which resulted in no more than what she was taught by me and my wife before she went there. I should have known that when I picked her up she was not listening to Jim and was very excited to see us." Of course Sasha was excited to see her owners with jumping on them. That is not out of ordinary. What sucks is that this dog Sasha is not your ordinary dog with good nerves that will approach strangers gregariously which is quite common with nervous, troubled dogs. In their home environment, they seem to their owners to be great dogs. But, take them out of their home environment, and they cannot function as a normal dog outside their comfort zone. Six out of ten dogs we get for training have issues to varying degrees. It is troubling in the industry. At least Sandy was honest and stated that we told him from the beginning that Sasha needed medicinal intervention. Did he follow through?? I doubt it, as many dog owners are reluctant to believe there's anything wrong with their dog. They are reluctant to see reality and would prefer to remain in denial. How can we help people like that? Last week, I sent a Pitbull home with the recommendation to get her on Prozac as she was a dangerous dog in her current state of mind. The owner acknowledged such. The dog stayed for six days and could not adapt. I only charged the client for boarding for the six days and gave them a refund accordingly. No, I will not train a dog to go the medicine cabinet, get medicine, bring it, and open the bottle as a service animal. They need a nurse!
