Affordable Dog and Puppy Training

We recently completed the beginner class with our rescue dog Beanie and found it to be really helpful to know how to train him for different commands. He came to us know a couple things like sit and we were working on stay, but the tips Lisa provided were really helpful. Beanie is large and muscular and was practically dragging me around until Lisa showed us some new equipment that doesn't look like a spiked or choking torture device and has been life changing for leash walking; even my 12 year old daughter can take him for walks easily now. Unfortunately Beanie is very very social and was often too excited to get to play time to focus on training in class, but we were able to take what we learned home to work with him. I don't know if it would be helpful to have some play time at the beginning of class for dogs like mine to calm down and be able to better focus. We are planning to get another dog and while we could just utilize what we've learned to train him at home, we may also take him through Lisa's course because it's so affordable and to access the intermediate courses.
