AlphA and Omega Dog Training helps owners build clear communication, structure and reliable obedience with their dogs. Our philosophy is simple: Train the Human. The Dog Follows. We work with owners and dogs through obedience training, behavior modification, on-leash and off-leash training, e-collar training, board and train programs, service dog training, protection training and real-world distraction training. Our focus is not simply teaching commands, it is teaching owners how to communicate with and confidently handle their dogs in everyday situations. Training programs begin with an evaluation to determine the dog, owner and program needs.

In this program, the foundation for basic obedience is put into place with added expectations designed to develop stronger teamwork between you and your dog. This is a great program if you’re looking to take a proactive approach to dog training and avoid some of the most common and troublesome behaviors in and around your home. During behavioral development, the focus expands past handling techniques and delves into the psychology of the dog to change the relationship between you and your companion and enjoy a new way of living. Effective communication is the most important aspect of your training and all communication is built on trust, boundaries, and respect. Curriculum for the Behavioral Development Program includes: walking in the heel position on- and off-leash, basic commands (heel, sit, stay, down and come), kennel acclimation, establishment of boundaries, redirect, distance recall, drop it and leave it, and go to spot.

Board and trainProgram details
Our Board and Train Program provides top tier training for both human and dogs. If it is determined that you qualify for the Board & Train Program, your dog will be with an AlphA and Omega Certified Trainer for two weeks. Wherever your Trainer goes during the course of his/her normal daily activities, your dog will follow. This includes parks, malls, restaurants, beaches, and any other naturally occurring activity you can think of. We train in the real world environment to produce real world results!

Protection trainingProgram details
This program is designed to protect you and your family members at home or in a vehicle. Through a series of commands given, your dog will “Turn On” when it is needed and “Turn Off” when the threat is no longer there or the command is given to “Turn Off”.The dog should remain in a “Turn Off” mode until the command is given to “Turn On”. This is necessary for the dog to be able to remain calm in all settings, but at attention. In order for a family dog to be trained for this service, your dog must be at least one (1) year of age, have a solid temperament and must be both Basic and Advanced Obedience trained.

Service dogs (sometimes referred to as assistance dogs) are equipped to help people with physical, neurological, or psychological disabilities perform everyday tasks. They help people overcome limitations caused by their disability and increase their independence and quality of life. They can sense that their handler is about to experience a medical problem, alert them of it, and assist or provide comfort when the problem occurs.These dogs can provide a wide range of assistance to address many types of physical limitations. They can alert people with hearing impairment to ringing phones and doorbells, help people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Military Sexual Trauma, or Traumatic Brain Injury to function successfully in public. Service dogs help them to feel secure and ease tension while in stressful situations. Each service Dog/handler team is individually trained to address the unique needs of the handler.

This training is designed train your dog to protect a business or property. The dog will learn to bite on command, and will be trained to do so through a series of commands. Once the “Turn On” command is given, the dog should get aggressive, at this point the warning is given to the intruder and the dog can be released.The dog is taught where and when the bite should happen. Once the impact / bite happens, we will teach your dog to release and “Come to a Heel” and still be on “Alert” but remain under the influence of your command. This program is designed to protect business personnel or protect property owned by your business and cannot be used in any in home business or personal dwelling in a residential area. This program is only for commercial businesses and their personnel.

I had just purchased my first puppy and had no idea what I was doing, but Jay and Karlon have been nothing short of phenomenal. They created just the right program and set a date of when my Isabel would be trained and definitely delivered on their promise! Alpha and Omega is a top-notch dog training program. It is very easy to rate them with five stars.
When my husband and I brought Lucky, our nine-month-old, 67-pound Golden Retriever puppy in for training, he was very active, could not be controlled on leash, mouthing and chewing on everything. Lucky was Mr. Social with a goal of getting any person within range to get their hands on his body. He would pull, jump, mouth, etc. He is a strong puppy and did what he wanted to do. Overbearing would describe him.
Fortunately for us, during the summer we met a couple in a nearby Metro Park with a dog about the same age and size as Lucky. But the difference in obedience was night and day. Their dog was off leash and instantly obeying commands. Being very impressed with their dog’s behavior, we asked where they had their dog trained. It was at Alpha and Omega.
Our experience with Alpha and Omega was and is outstanding! In five minutes during our evaluation, Jay, using a leash, had Lucky under complete control. Lucky was laying down with Jay having no hands on the leash. It looked like magic!
Throughout the years with our other dogs we have been through many professional trainers but never encountered one with Alpha and Omega’s skill standards. Jay, Karlon, and Patrice worked with us. Their quick, gentle but assertive ways of training of our dog was amazing. Training us was more time consuming then our dog.
Alpha and Omega is a win-win outcome. After a few weeks of training, our beautiful puppy is walking off leash amazingly by our side. He knows sit, down, stay, spot and most importantly the “no” command and he responds quickly. Lucky is a happy dog with very happy owners.
“Life is Good” has been made possible through the guidance and knowledge of Jay and Karlon. They patiently worked with Lucky and us until we felt comfortable handling our dog.
Through his training, Lucky has learned to run free and return to us on command. This is pure joy to watch. Alpha and Omega training has given Lucky the gift of a dog being a dog…pure freedom.
Special thanks to our trainer Karlon, he is great! His kindness, determination and understanding made our lives with Lucky change forever. We wish Karlon, Jay and Patrice continued success.

P.S. Call and visit their beautiful training facility. Its large size enables several dogs to be trained at the same time. They also have kennels, day-care training, etc. Alpha Omega is a very professional training facility. The end result proves it.
