Alpha's training methods gave us the tools to let her know that she didn't have to protect us, in fact, it was the other way around. 10/10 would train again!!

For the board and train do the trainers keep the dog in their own house? How many hours per day do they work with the dog?
Currently, our Board & Trains are housed with our trainers in their individual homes. As for how much time per day is spent actively working with them, that is strictly dependent on the dogs themselves. We work dogs one-on-one, as well as take them out on field trips when they are ready to take their training into more public environments, so it can vary from day to day. We do our best to give each dog the individual time they need in order to help them make progress every day, without ever overextending.

I have a 4mo old GSDmix that bites,jumps , and barks alot. Do y'all have a training class for puppies, if so how long and what is the cost?
Hi Nancy, Yes! We do currently offer a Puppy Program for puppies starting as early as 10 weeks! Alpha Instincts had quite a job with my pup, Cooper. When I got him, he was two years old and poorly socialized. He had separation anxiety and was left alone for 12+ hours out of the day. He was also HIGHLY reactive. I had been talking for a while about finding a trainer, and super glad that my co-worker suggested Alpha Instincts. We are still in the middle of training, but already I have noticed such better understanding and communication between Cooper and I. We still have a ways to go, but Nick has been so helpful and available throughout the training! Honestly, I feel like I am the one that needs more training than Cooper! But as I am learning and Cooper is learning and boundaries are being placed, it is so exciting to see. I cannot wait to continue seeing improvements in Cooper and continue to see his reactivity decrease. I highly highly recommend Alpha Instincts!
I'm so pleased with our experience doing private lessons with Alpha Instincts! Our doggo has made amazing improvements and we're even doing well with off leash training.

Vanessa did a terrific job not only teaching our puppy but also enabling us with the right tools to successfully work with our dog to establish the basics of discipline and appropriate social behavior. Veni was excited to see Vanessa each week and was eager to put her training into practice. Alpha Instinct trainer, Vanessa, worked with Wil, a bernedoodle, for 3 weeks. Wila was an energetic, impulsive, friendly, loving, ADHD puppy. Vanessa worked with her to achieve a little control of the impulsivity and knowledge of basic commands and the expectation that accompanied them. She sent photos and videos of this training in progress. We watched this training progress through Vanessa’s high expectations, knowledge base, and the mutual respectful relationship she built. She worked with Wila like a good teacher works with a child, covering and reviewing all commands and then assessing progress. Upon Wila’s return home, Vanessa spent over 2 hours going over her training and in training us to work with Wila. She will be returning to check on her in the next 2 weeks. I feel very comfortable with Vanessa’s training. Wila is ready for our relationship to build on Vanessa’s training of us and of Wila. We have been involved with several trainers and I can say without a doubt that Vanessa and Alpha Instincts are tops.
