Our trainers are all well-equipped to handle issues from leash-pulling to aggression.
Our programs focus on obedience, as much as they do on behavioral rehabilitation. We see plenty of dogs that have great obedience skills, however, they are not able to hold a command around basic distractions or maintain a calm state of mind. It is so important for us and the dog, that we can work with the dog on these issues in real-life scenarios.

For the board and train do the trainers keep the dog in their own house?
How many hours per day do they work with the dog?
Currently, our Board & Trains are housed with our trainers in their individual homes. As for how much time per day is spent actively working with them, that is strictly dependent on the dogs themselves. We work dogs one-on-one, as well as take them out on field trips when they are ready to take their training into more public environments, so it can vary from day to day. We do our best to give each dog the individual time they need in order to help them make progress every day, without ever overextending.

I have a 4mo old GSDmix that bites,jumps , and barks alot. Do y'all have a training class for puppies, if so how long and what is the cost?

Nick was the trainer we worked with and did Alita's training and I could not be happier. She has come back a new dog and is much more enjoyable to have around. Their pricing is amazing for everything you get, to me you get what you pay for and I'm glad I didn't pick one of the cheapo trainers around. The support alone is worth it. Alita absolutely loves Nick I got pictures and updates all through the training so I was never out of touch. 10/10 would recommend

My 7 month old puppy Josie just completed a 3 week Board and Train program with Rachel. It was the best money I have ever spent. She new all the basic commands from their Puppy Class, however, I was having problems with her high energy level at home, barking, jumping nipping when she didn’t want to do what I told her . Rachel taught her how to stay calm in stressful and high energy situations. We are now much happier, relaxed and able to enjoy walks around the city.

Copper, my beagle, used to be pretty stubborn, entitled & slightly aggressive towards others when it came to doing simple things that he decided he did not want to do. After going through the Board & Train program with Rachel, Copper came back as a dog that was eager to listen and made better choices than he had before around the house. We had such a wonderful experience with Alpha Instincts. Our dog Penny went through the 8 week training, which was really helpful for our entire family. At 8 months old, our puppy was struggling with basic discipline, but also had a few irrational fears with things like moving water (fountains, streams, etc.). Our trainer, Rachel, did an amazing job with Penny and showed us first hand how to resolve the issues. Now, at 10 months old, our dog is much more responsive, focused, and eager to please. Everyone in the family participated in the training sessions and our 8 year old son has a level of comfort and control with our dog today that I didn’t expect would be possible. Training our dog through Alpha Instincts was well worth the time and cost and I highly recommend their services.
