Alpha Instincts Dog Training

We adopted our Great Dane Yana in 2019, she’s the sweetest dog but she does not understand personal space, she also began to have behavioral issues when I wasn’t able to be close by. I reached out to Alpha to help with Yana as I knew she would flourish with some positive guidance and Rachel was so great with her. She really educated me on how to work with Yana during the session that I was confident working with her outside of the session. It’s been such a great program and has helped me build a more positive bond with my 140lb lap dog.

Rachel and her team are extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had every confidence that our pup was being well cared for during our board and train. The difference we have seen in "obedience" has made a significant improvement in our dog's anxiety levels. The time and attention that we have received AFTER training have been invaluable as we continue to train using Alpha's techniques at home. Training and correction techniques are positive, and I believe we will continue to see our dog gain independence in her good choices as well as reduced anxiety.

I have nothing but good things to say about Vanessa and Alpha Instincts as a whole. My husband and I have an almost two year old Great Dane who suffers with extreme anxiety to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable taking her out in public anymore or bringing her around anyone except close family. I called a handful of trainers and tried to be as descriptive as possible and give them all the details I could, to which every other trainer except one told me to either return her to the breeder or get rid of her. I felt like I was at a complete loss after hearing this from so many trainers and I just couldn’t understand why they thought she was “too far gone”. Then I ran across Alpha Instincts and they had been recommended to me in the past, so I contacted them and they were all so sweet over the phone and explained things to me over the phone about why my dog was reacting the way she was and what I could do in the meantime to help and they were just so informative and I could tell they truly cared and wanted to help me and my dog. Vanessa came out and did the initial consultation and met me and my dog. I again went over everything with her and she explained everything to me in great detail and gave me a whole new perspective of how my dog was feeling and why she was reacting the way she was. I was so nervous to leave my dog with a stranger for 4 weeks, but Vanessa kept us updated the whole time and we could clearly tell she treated Cam as her own. We could tell from the videos how much better Cam was getting and we were so excited to see her in person. We went to pick her up and she was like a totally different dog and we could tell she felt so much better. Now we are able to take her camping with us and we don’t have to worry as much about her around family members or our friends because we know what to do to help her feel more comfortable. This training has completely changed Cam’s life and it makes ours so much easier because our girl can go with us and live the life we always wanted her to be able to. She doesn’t have to miss out on another thing. We just had our follow up session last week where Vanessa helped us pin point what we needed to work on. I HIGHLY recommend Alpha Instincts and I could not have more positive things to say. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in helping us and our Cam!
