American K-9 Academy

When I first brought my two Aussie puppies home 6 months ago, I asked for doggy daycare recommendations from friends. After calling a few other places (even 2 that I pass everyday on my way to and from work) my gut told me this was the place. I’m so glad I trusted my gut because we love it here! They get to play with their friends every day at daycare!! They’re both in training (so am I) and the approach is incredibly successful. It’s nice to work with a trainer who knows what he’s doing and is confident in his ability to get you and your dog to work together. I’ve boarded them here without hesitation because it is evident that they genuinely care about each dog in their care. I’m very impressed to say the least.

I have been bringing my dogs to this daycare and kennel facility for over 20 years, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. My dogs have been a handful over the years and they have provided loving, attentive, and dependable care. It is such a comfort knowing that my dogs are in good hands and treated with genuine kindness and compassion. Liz has always been welcoming, professional, and caring, it is clear that they truly love the animals they look after. Their dedication and commitment to providing a safe, happy environment is something I have appreciated for more than two decades. Finding a place I could trust with my pets is incredibly important, and I feel very fortunate to have found this facility.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I truly can’t say enough good things about American K9 Academy in Lisbon. Mike and Liz are absolutely amazing and genuinely care about every dog as if they were their own. They helped me tremendously with training a very reactive dog, and the difference their knowledge, patience, and guidance made was incredible. Even long after the initial training, they’ve continued to be a trusted resource anytime I’ve had a question or needed advice. You can tell immediately that this isn’t just a business to them, they genuinely love dogs and take their care seriously. Their boarding facility is awesome as well, and it gives you so much peace of mind knowing your dog is with people who will treat them like family. Whether you need training, boarding, or simply knowledgeable people you can trust for guidance, I would recommend Mike, Liz, and K9 Academy without hesitation. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!
