DeWayne did a great job with Emi. She is a 1 year old Sheba Inu with a mind of her own. It is said that they are one of the hardest dogs to train but DeWayne did a great job. His use of positive reinforcement and reward for good behavior was exactly what I was looking for. He provided me with the tools I need to continue the good work that he started. I would highly recommend Anchor up K9 Academy. If you have a dog with behavioral issues, this is the Man to call. Thanks again for a job well done.

Dewayne’s approach is practical and effective. He focuses on building a bond and strengthening the relationship with your dog instead of just giving treats left and right! He uses the dog’s own interests in toys and makes training fun for the dog and owner. I have learned so much that consistency and patience pay off. My rescue pit is becoming more confident each day. Next session will be meeting his own dog and walking at the park! I want my Maisy to be able to walk by other dogs without being reactive and scared. Dewayne is an excellent trainer! He is knowledgeable and a kind person! I am so thankful to the neighbors who recommended him! Thank you Dewayne! You are awesome !👍

Did 3 week board and train program, Goofy came in with bad leash behavior bad enough he’d pull me around. He was overly friendly causing pulling to get to whatever he wanted to greet. After he’s walking off leash on a heel, obeying commands and being still friendly but within reason. Dwayne was so accommodating to special situations as we are moving out state soon and needed to take Goofy to the vet for the move. He gave us daily detailed updates helping us learn more about the training and ways to maintain and see and witness how much Goofy has grown. Already recommending him to everyone I know with a dog and will continue to. Definitely call and work with him it’s worth the time and money.
