Andrea’s K9 Coaching

We got our 1.5-year-old Weimaraner, Gracie, through a rehoming situation and quickly realized we needed to seek out a trainer to help with some of her more challenging behaviors. Gracie was extremely reactive to other dogs on walks, unfamiliar people, and seemed timid and scared in new environments. She barked when people came over and was an epic leash-puller, so we also knew we wanted to work on her basic obedience skills. Andrea went above and beyond to guide us. She clearly explained the goals of training, introduced tools and methods tailored to our situation, and, most importantly, how we could drive success by building our bond and relationship with Gracie. Andrea is professional, kind, and a fantastic communicator. She answered all our questions thoughtfully and knew exactly how to work with both us and our dog. Training sessions were something we genuinely looked forward to each week. Now, Gracie is more confident, walks nicely on a leash, and has made huge strides in managing her reactivity. She’s not perfect yet, but her progress in such a short time has exceeded all our expectations. Our bond with Gracie continues to grow, and we’re excited to book more advanced training sessions with Andrea. We can’t recommend her enough!

Andrea did an amazing job with our 5 month-old labrador, Rongo. Prior to attending Andrea's boot camp, Rongo could be best described as a WILDMAN, jumping up on people, leaping for his food dish as you carried it, jumping up on counters, and not listening very well. The best description of him post-boot camp is a well-mannered and focused gentleman. He now listens to us, sits and actually waits for his meals, comes when called the first time, and is just lovely to be around. Andrea, herself is wonderful to work with. She's very personable, knows what she's doing, and is great at communicating with you. We couldn't imagine working with any other dog trainer. If you want to turn your dog into a civilized "caninebeing", Andrea is definitely the one to call.
